Hellebuyck stopped 27 of 28 shots in the Jets win against the Islanders on Tuesday. With the win, Hellebuyck extended his streak to three games, allowing a combined nine goals on 78 shots (.885 SV%). Tonight he takes on the Blues for the third time this season—he is 2-0-0 with a 2.45 GAA and .934 SV% in the first two meetings.


Fleury re-entered the lineup on Sunday but will serve as a healthy scratch tonight with Brett Pesce playing for the first time since November 10th.


Hellebuyck gave up three goals on 19 shots in the Jets win in New York on Sunday. Hellebuyck has really struggled as of late, allowing at least three goals in six straight games—in total he has given up a combined 21 goals on 152 shots (.862 SV%). Fleury has missed the last three games with a concussion but is expected to return to the lineup in Los Angeles on Sunday. Fleury has just one assist in eight games this season.

The 25-year-old has a solid chance to get back in the win column against a Blackhawks team that has lost three of their last four.

Namestnikov is in concussion protocol and did not travel to Ottawa for Wednesday’s game. With Namestnikov out, Ryan Strome will be bumped into the Rangers top-6.

Hellebuyck was pulled after allowed three goals on nine shots in the Jets loss to the Flames on Wednesday. The loss snapped a four-game winning streak for Hellebuyck, who is now 5-1-0 with a 2.76 GAA and .911 SV% in seven starts in November.

Hellebuyck allowed three goals on 25 shots in the Jets win in Vancouver on Monday. Hellebuyck has won four straight games while posting a 2.00 GAA and .933 SV% and is now 9-5-1 with a 2.74 GAA and .913 SV% on the season. Tonight he takes on a Flames team that is 10th in the NHL in goal-scoring (3.29 GF/pg).

Hellebuyck stopped 27 of 28 shots in the Jets win over the Capitals last Wednesday. Laurent Brossoit started on Friday, so Hellebuyck comes into tonight’s game well rested. The 25-year-old has won three straight games and stopped 26 of 27 shots in a 4-1 win in his first start against the Canucks.

Pearson has recorded back-to-back 40-plus point seasons, but has struggled in the first 17 games of the season. Pearson has just one assist and 24 shots this season and carries a 49.1 CorsiFor%. With Hagelin going back the other way, that opens the door for Pearson to play on a line with Evgeni Malkin. Pearson is in the second year of a four-year contract that carries a $3.75M AAV cap-hit.

Hellebuyck allowed two goals on 36 shots in the Jets win over the Devils on Sunday. Hellebuyck has won three of his last four starts while allowing 10 goals on 130 shots (.923 SV%). The 25-year-old is starting to play more like the Hellebuyck of 2017-18 and should be a solid start against a Capitals team on the tail-end of a back-to-back.


Fleury made his season debut last Saturday but was a healthy scratch on Thursday. Tonight he will replace Trevor van Riemsdyk and is expected to skate alongside Dougie Hamilton.
