Zibanejad was scratched from the lineup Thursday in St. Louis due to illness, and his status remains in question for Saturday's matinee. Monitor Zibanejad's status as the Rangers hit the ice for warmups at 12:30 PM ET.





It's unclear when Anderson picked up the injury, but he will be unavailable for Saturday's game vs. the Oilers. The Canadiens recalled Joshua Roy on Friday, so he could make his NHL debut in Anderson's spot.

Roy was selected in the fifth round of the 2021 NHL draft and has excelled in his first year as a pro, picking up 30 points (12G / 18A) in his first 34 AHL games, good for second on the team. The 20-year-old could make his NHL debut Saturday vs. the Oilers.

After sitting out Tuesday's game in Anaheim, Trenin will re-enter the Predators' lineup on Friday in place of Cody Glass. Trenin has seven goals and two assists in 38 games this season.

Glass was a late scratch for Friday's game with his absence being unknown prior to warmups. Yakov Trenin will draw into the lineup in his place. Glass has one goal and one assist in 17 games this season.

Lankinen will draw the front-end of Nashville's back-to-back in Dallas on Friday before the team travels home to host the Islanders on Saturday. Lankinen coincidentally faced the Stars his last time out, allowing three goals on 29 shots as the Predators edged a 4-3 victory. He may have a hard time producing a repeat performance on Friday with Nashville being +150 underdogs in Dallas. The Predators' backup owns a 5-3-0 record on the season along with a .901 SV% and a 3.14 GAA.

Oettinger will make his first appearance in goal for the Stars since suffering a lower-body injury on December 15th. Dallas' number-one netminder was in the midst of a cold streak prior to the injury, losing three of his previous four starts and posting an .838 SV% over that stretch. He owns an 11-7-2 record on the season along with a .901 SV% and a 2.93 GAA. He draws a favourable matchup in his first game back with the Stars being -175 on the moneyline.


With news of Anton Forsberg being injured, Mads Sogaard was recalled Friday from Belleville (AHL). The 23-year-old last appeared with the Senators' in 2022-23 and was 8-6-3 with a 3.32 GAA and .889 SV%.

Vrana had two goals, four assists, eight PIMs and a -7 plus/minus in 21 games with the Blues' but has been reassigned to Spingfield (AHL) as Justin Faulk returns from the Injured Reserve. The 27-year-old returns to the minors for a second time this year, and had four goals and eight points in seven games played during his previous demotion.

Faulk has been out since December 29th due to a lower-body injury but was activated from the Injured Reserve Friday and is expected to return to the Blues' lineup Saturday. The 31-year-old was having an mediocre offensive season prior to his injury as he had two goals, 17 points, 10 PIMs and a +2 plus/minus in 35 games played.
