Merilainen was 18-13-7 with a .918 SV% and 2.02 GAA with Karpat (Liiga) this season and has earned his first NHL callup and start Tuesday. The 20-year-old was the Senators' 2020 third-round pick (71 overall) and will be making his NHL debut vs. Carolina, who has won their last two games and are third in the NHL in shots per game (34.9).

O'Reilly (finger) took part in Tuesday's morning skate but will not play vs. Columbus.

O'Reilly has been out since March 4th due to a finger injury and took part in the Maple Leafs' morning skate Tuesday but is still not ready to return to the lineup. The 32-year-old has 15 goals, nine assists, 98 SOG, 12 PIMs and a -23 plus/minus through 48 games between Toronto and St. Louis this season.

Gustafsson (personal) will re-join the team on Tuesday but not play vs. the Blue Jackets.

Gustafsson has missed the Maple Leafs' previous five games due to a personal matter and will re-join the team Tuesday, but is not expected to suit up. The 31-year-old has seven goals, 32 assists, 121 SOG, 23 PIMs and a +8 plus/minus through 69 games between Toronto and Washington this season.

Schenn has yet to pick up a point through 10 games with the Maple Leafs since being traded for at the Trade Deadline and will be a healthy scratch Tuesday vs. Columbus. The 33-year-old has three goals and 21 points across 65 games played between Toronto and Vancouver this season.

Acciari has missed the last three games with a neck injury but will be back on a line with Nick Abruzzese and Alex Kerfoot vs. the Blue Jackets. The 31-year-old bruising winger has 13 goals, eight assists, 97 SOG, 19 PIMs and a -7 plus/minus through 71 games played between Toronto and St. Louis.

Vanecek allowed four goals on 21 shots (.810 SV%) for his fourth loss in five games as he was defeated by the Winnipeg Jets in his previous start. The 27-year-old netminder has had a solid first season in New Jersey; becoming the first Devils' goaltender to reach 30 wins since Martin Brodeur, with his 30-11-4 record, 2.52 GAA and .908 SV%. He takes on the Pittsburgh Penguins, who have won three of their last five games after a 4-2 win over Philadelphia last game.

Joseph Woll was in the starters' crease Tuesday morning.

Woll stopped 23 of 25 shots (.920 SV%) for his third-straight win in his last start as he topped the Nashville Predators. The 24-year-old has been recalled to replace the injured Matt Murray (head) and has been sensational during his short showings this year, with his 3-1-0 record, 2.03 GAA and .934 SV%. He takes on the Columbus Blue Jackets, who snapped a four game-losing skid with a 4-3 overtime win over Ottawa last game.

Thompson (upper-body) is expected to be back in the Sabres lineup on Tuesday.

Thompson has missed the last three games with an upper-body injury but is expected to play Tuesday vs. the Panthers. Thompson has just two goals and no assists in his last six games but has three assists in three games vs. the Panthers this season.

Murray was forced to leave the Maple Leafs' matchup against Detroit after just 16:16 TOI due to a head injury after an accidental run-in with Lucas Raymond. Joseph Woll was recalled from the Toronto Marlies (AHL) as Murray's replacement Tuesday in the meantime while he deals with his latest injury.

The 26-year-old returns to the minors, where he had 11 goals, 20 assists, 37 PIMs and a +20 plus/minus through 46 games played between Calgary (AHL) and Toronto (AHL).

Egor Sokolov has been recalled from Belleville (AHL) and will make his season debut Tuesday vs. Carolina.

Sokolov had 19 goals, 36 assists, 58 PIMs and a -19 plus/minus through 67 games played with the Belleville Senators (AHL) and has been recalled to Ottawa for the first time this season. The 22-year-old has previously played in eight NHL games before this season, with zero points and a -6 plus/minus.

Grubauer allowed four goals on 13 shots (.692 SV%) for his first loss in four starts as he took the defeat to Minnesota in his last start. The 31-year-old has struggled all season long, with his 14-13-4 record, 3.05 GAA and .889 SV%. He will take on the Arizona Coyotes, who have lost seven straight games after a 7-2 loss to San Jose last game.
