Greiss was the first goalie off the ice at the Blues morning skate.

Greiss allowed seven goals on 34 shots (.794 SV%) for his third-straight loss as he was defeated by the Ottawa Senators in his last start. The 37-year-old Blues' backup has struggled alongside his counterpart Jordan Binnington this season, shown by his 5-8-0 record, 3.54 GAA and .901 SV%. The veteran takes on the San Jose Sharks, who have lost six of their last seven games and are 23rd in the NHL in both goals per game (2.93) and shots (30.0).

Demko will start Thursday vs. the Wild.

Demko, playing in his first game since December 1st stopped 34 of 38 shots (.895 SV%) and beat Dallas his last time out. The 27-year-old has been having a year to forget, as shown by his 4-10-2 record, 3.93 GAA and .884 SV%. He takes on the red-hot Minnesota Wild, who have won six of their last seven contests and have the seventh best powerplay in the NHL (23.5%).

Thatcher Demko
The Sharks have signed Derrick Pouliot to a one-year contract.

Pouliot had two goals, 16 assists, 42 PIMs and a -7 plus/minus through 26 games with the San Jose Barracuda (AHL) and has signed a one-year contract with the Sharks on Thursday. The 29-year-old has played in 213 NHL games across eight seasons, picking up eight goals and 52 points across that span.

The 27-year-old Predators' backup has been enjoying his best season to date, with his 6-5-1 record, 2.70 GAA and .919 SV%. He takes on Florida Panthers, who have won three of their last five games after a 4-1 victory over Tampa Bay last game and are first in the NHL in shots per game (36.7).

Jarry will start Thursday in Tampa.

Jarry stopped 24 of 25 shots (.960 SV%) for his second-straight win as he defeated Nashville in his previous start. The 27-year-old has been solid when called upon this season, with his 18-7-5 record, 2.73 GAA and .918 SV%. He takes on the Tampa Bay Lightning, who have lost three of their last four games but are fifth in the NHL in goals per game (3.52).

The Blues have signed Sammy Blais to a one-year deal worth $1.0M.

Blais has two goals, an assist, and 15 SOG through nine games since being traded back to the St. Louis Blues and has not signed a one-year, $1.0 Million contract extension. The 26-year-old has two goals, and eight points across 49 games with both the Blues and Rangers.

Gillies has a 5-8-2 record, .878 SV% and 3.70 GAA with the Tuscan Roadrunners (AHL) but has been traded from the Coyotes for Jakub Voracek and a 2023 6th Round Pick. The 29-year-old has played in 32 career NHL games across four seasons, holding a 7-15-3 record, 3.31 GAA and .893 SV%.

The Coyotes have acquired Jakub Voracek and a 2023 6th Round Pick from the Blue Jackets for Jon Gillies.

Voracek had a goal, five assists, 17 SOG, a -7 plus/minus through 11 games this season and a $8.25 million cap hit that runs through 2023-24 which had gotten him traded to the Arizona Coyotes alongside a 2023 6th Round Pick from the Blue Jackets for Jon Gillies. Voracek has not played since Nov. 4th due to a concussion.
