Petry (illness) missed practice on Wednesday; questionable to play Thursday.

Petry was absent from the Penguins' practice Wednesday due to illness and is now questionable to play Thursday vs. Edmonton. The 35-year-old has three goals, 16 assists, 78 SOG, 18 PIMs and a +1 plus/minus through 40 games played this season.

Vejmelka will start Wednesday vs. the Flames.

Vejmelka was pulled in his last start after allowing five goals on 14 shots (.643 SV%) for his second loss in three starts. The 26-year-old has gotten little help all season but still keeps the Coyotes in nearly every game, with his 15-17-5 record, 3.31 GAA and .904 SV%. He will take on the Calgary Flames, who have lost three of their last four games after a 4-3 loss to Philadelphia last game.

Hellebuyck amazingly stopped 50 of 51 shots (.980 SV%) for his third win in four starts as he beat the New York Rangers in his previous start. The 29-year-old continues to have the most impressive season he's had in his eight-year career, with his 26-16-1 record, 2.39 GAA and .926 SV%. He will take on the New York Rangers, who have won two of their last three games and have the fifth-best penalty kill in the NHL (82.1%).

Connor Hellebuyck
Oettinger will start Wednesday vs. the Blackhawks.

Oettinger stopped 31 of 32 shots (.969 SV%) for his second-straight overtime loss as he was defeated by Minnesota in his previous start. The 24-year-old is top-five in the NHL in both GAA (2.20), and SV% (.926%) and has an impressive 23-7-9 record. He takes on the Chicago Blackhawks, who have surprisingly won three-straight games after a 3-2 shutout win over Vegas last game.

Sorokin was the first goalie off the ice at the Islanders morning skate.

Sorokin stopped 44 of 46 shots (.957 SV%) for his second-straight 40+ save win as he beat Pittsburgh in his previous start. The 27-year-old has been incredible this season despite what his record may show, as he is 19-17-5 with a 2.43 GAA and. 924 SV%. He takes on the Winnipeg Jets, who won their last game 4-1 over the New York Rangers and are 16th in the NHL in goals per game (3.14).

Ilya Sorokin
Johansen will reportedly undergo surgery on a lower-body injury and is out indefinitely.

Johansen had to be helped off of the ice after suffering a lower-body injury in Tuesday's shootout win over the Canucks. Johansen was reportedly spotted on crutches and wearing a walking boot post-game and will undergo surgery on the injury on Wednesday. Johansen will be out indefinitely and could miss the remainder of the season, but expect an official update from the Predators in the coming days.

Hart will start Tuesday in Edmonton.

Hart allowed four goals on 21 shots (.810 SV%) for his third straight loss as he was defeated by Vancouver in his previous start. The 24-year-old has gotten little help despite his strong play this season, leading to a 16-17-9 record, 2.88 GAA and .910 SV%. He takes on the Edmonton Oilers, who are in the middle of a four-game losing skid after their 6-5 overtime loss to Colorado last game.

Copley allowed one goal on 17 shots (.941 SV%) but took the no-decision as he was pulled from his previous start vs. Anaheim after 39:17 TOI. The 31-year-old is good to go and will look to continue to add to his impressive record, as he holds a 17-3-1 record, 2.70 GAA and .904 SV%. He will take on Minnesota, who has won their last two games but are 25th in the NHL in goals per game (2.88).

Vasilevskiy allowed four goals on 25 shots (.840 SV%) for his first loss in four starts as he was defeated by Vegas the Lightnings' previous contest. The 28-year-old has led the NHL in wins for each of the last five seasons and is back on pace to potentially do so again with his 26-14-1 record, 2.56 GAA and .918 SV%. He will take on the Anaheim Ducks, who are in the midst of a five-game losing skid after a 4-3 overtime loss to Florida last game.

Binnington led the Blues onto the ice for warmups.

Binnington allowed four goals on 33 shots (.879 SV%) to snap a three-game winning streak as he was defeated by Colorado in his last start. The 29-year-old has not played well this season but still continues to see the majority of starts, which has led to his 21-19-3 record, 3.27 GAA and .893 SV%. He takes on the scorching-hot Carolina Hurricanes, who have won 10 of their last 11 contests after a 4-1 win over Washington last game.
