The 31-year-old has an incredible 14-3-0 record but does not have the greatest stats in his .897 SV% and 2.80 GAA. He takes on the Florida Panthers, who have lost their last two games after a 7-6 overtime defeat to Pittsburgh in their last matchup.



Sorokin allowed five goals on 39 shots (.872 SV%) for his fourth-straight loss as he was defeated by Toronto in his previous start. The 27-year-old has a losing record of 15-16-4 despite playing incredibly well with his 2.44 GAA and .922 SV%. He takes on the Detroit Red Wings, who have won three of their last four contests after a 4-3 win over Montreal last game but are 20th in the NHL in goals per game (3.06).

Jones stopped 19 of 20 shots (.950 SV%) for his ninth win in 10 games as he beat Vancouver in his previous start. The 33-year-old has surprised many this season as he is currently second in wins with his 23-6-3 record while having a mediocre .895 SV% and 2.78 GAA. He takes on the Calgary Flames, who lost their previous game 5-1 to Chicago but are 2nd in the NHL in shots per game (35.4).

Larsson has two goals, seven assists, 16 PIMs and a -11 plus/minus through 33 games with the Belleville Senators (AHL) but has been recalled to Ottawa on Friday. He has previously played in three games and failed to pick up a point.

Lyon allowed seven goals on 49 shots (.857 SV%) for his second-straight loss as he was defeated in overtime by the Pittsburgh Penguins in his previous start. The 30-year-old has struggled in limited action while filling in for the Panthers, with his 2-1-1 record, 4.30 GAA and .870 SV%. He takes on the Los Angeles Kings, who have won two-straight after a 4-3 win over Philadelphia last game and have the eighth-best powerplay in the NHL (24.3%).

Nichuskin missed the Avalanche's previous game and is considered day-to-day with an upper-body injury and is questionable to play vs. St. Louis Saturday. The 27-year-old has played well when healthy, with his 8 goals, 10 assists, 63 SOG, and +6 plus/minus through 20 games prior to his most recent injury.

Guzda had a 10-4-2 record, .911 SV% and 2.55 GAA through 17 games with Charlotte (AHL) and has been recalled for the first time in his career. He will be backing up Alex Lyon if Spencer Knight is unable to dress.

Denisenko had three assists, 12 SOG, and a -4 plus/minus through 12 games with Florida but has been loaned to Charlotte (AHL) to make room for Mack Guzda on the active roster.

Bemstrom was a healthy scratch for the Blue Jackets' previous game but will draw back into the lineup Friday as a replacement for the injured Gustav Nyquist (upper body). The 23-year-old has four goals, seven assists, 35 SOG, and a -4 plus/minus through 21 games played this year.

Bayreuther has been a healthy scratch for the Blue Jackets previous seven games but will find his way back into the lineup as he replaces Nick Blankenburg (upper body) Friday. The 28-year-old had two goals, three assists, 21 SOG and 13 PIMs through 19 games with the Blue Jackets this season.


Korpisalo stopped 34 of 36 shots (.944 SV%) for his third win in five games as he beat Edmonton in his previous start. The 28-year-old has been Columbus' best goaltender by a mile, with his 8-8-2 record, 3.22 GAA and ..910 SV%. He takes on the Vancouver Canucks, who have lost eight of their last ten games after a 6-1 loss to Seattle on Wednesday.

Gravel had failed to pick up a point through five games with the Predators, with six SOG, and a -4 plus/minus but has been reassigned to Milwaukee (AHL) on Friday. Gravel had a goal, nine assists, 16 PIMs and a +5 plus/minus through 36 games with Mulwaukee prior to his previous promotion.
