The 29-year-old has been losing a grasp on his starting role due to his mediocre play, as shown by his 15-13-3 record, 3.27 GAA and .892 SV%. He will face the Calgary Flames, who have lost two of their last three games and ranks fourth in the NHL in shots (34.8).

Jordan Binnington

Roope Hintz
Hellebuyck is in the starter's crease at the Jets' morning skate.

Hellebuyck stopped 26 of 28 shots (.929 SV%) for his fourth-straight win as he beat Tampa Bay in his previous start. The 29-year-old is in the Vezina Trophy race this season, due to his 20-9-1 record, 2.30 GAA and .928 SV%. He draws the Detroit Red Wings Tuesday, who are in the midst of a three-game losing skid and rank in the bottom 10 in both goals per game (24th) and shots per game (26th).

Connor Hellebuyck
Nolan Foote has been recalled from Utica (AHL).

Foote has 13 goals, six assists, 10 PIMs and a -1 plus/minus through 33 games with Utica (AHL) but has earned the call-up to New Jersey for the first time this season Tuesday. The 2019 1st-round pick (27th overall) has previously played in 13 NHL games across the past two seasons, with four goals, two assists and a +2 plus/minus rating.

Nolan Foote
Simon Holmstrom will be a game-time decision vs. Dallas (lower body).

Holmstrom has missed the Islanders' previous six games due to a lower-body injury but will be a game-time decision Tuesday as they take on the Stars. The 21-year-old, 2019 1st round pick (23rd overall) had been having a quiet rookie campaign prior to the injury, with a goal, an assist and eight SOG through 14 games with the Islanders.

T.J. Brodie has been placed on the injured reserve (rib).

Brodie missed the Maple Leafs' game Sunday due to a rib injury and will now head to the injured reserve as a result. It is the second time an injury has forced Brodie out this season, as he has two goals, six assists, 36 SOG and a +8 plus/minus through 28 games prior to the injury.

He will try to get back in the win column as he draws the tough task of the New Jersey Devils, who are third in the NHL in shots per game (34.9) and eighth in goals per game (3.4).
