Tanev left the Flames' game Monday vs. Columbus after just 2:32 TOI due to an undisclosed injury and has now been placed on the injured reserve. The 33-year-old stay-at-home defenseman has a goal, seven assists, 40 SOG and six PIMs through 40 games played this season.

Ritchie has missed the previous 11 games due to a wrist injury but has been activated from the injured reserve Friday. The 29-year-old has six goals, two assists, 41 SOG, 21 PIMs and a +2 plus/minus through 30 games prior to the injury.

Nyquist left the Blue Jackets' previous game vs. Edmonton after just 3:33 TOI due to an upper-body injury and will miss a significant amount of time as he is out indefinitely with an upper-body injury. The 33-year-old had 10 goals, 12 assists, 97 SOG, 16 PIMs and a -11 plus/minus through 48 games prior to the injury.

Beniers left the Krakens' previous game vs. Vancouver after 9:52 TOI due to an upper-body injury and will miss their next two games this weekend (Calgary and Columbus). The 20-year-old leads the Norris Trophy race with his 17 goals, 19 assists, 92 SOG, and a +8 plus/minus through 47 games prior to the injury.

Jones stopped 19 of 20 shots (.950 SV%) for his ninth win in 10 games as he beat Vancouver in his previous start. The 33-year-old has surprised many this season as he is currently second in wins with his 23-6-3 record while having a mediocre .895 SV% and 2.78 GAA. He takes on the Calgary Flames, who lost their previous game 5-1 to Chicago but are 2nd in the NHL in shots per game (35.4).

Copley stopped 28 of 31 shots (.903 SV%) for his second-straight win as he beat Philadelphia in his previous start. The 31-year-old has an incredible 14-3-0 record but does not have the greatest stats in his .897 SV% and 2.80 GAA. He takes on the Florida Panthers, who have lost their last two games after a 7-6 overtime defeat to Pittsburgh in their last matchup.

Theodore hasn't played since Dec. 9th but will return to the Golden Knights lineup Friday from a leg injury after being a full participant in practice Thursday. Theodore had 22 points (4G / 18A) in 29 games before getting hurt on December 9th.


Lyon allowed seven goals on 49 shots (.857 SV%) for his second-straight loss as he was defeated in overtime by the Pittsburgh Penguins in his previous start. The 30-year-old has struggled in limited action while filling in for the Panthers, with his 2-1-1 record, 4.30 GAA and .870 SV%. He takes on the Los Angeles Kings, who have won two-straight after a 4-3 win over Philadelphia last game and have the eighth-best powerplay in the NHL (24.3%).

McCormick had 18 goals, 24 assists, 36 PIMs and a +18 plus/minus through 38 games with Coachella Valley (AHL) as their captain but has been recalled to Seattle for the first time this season. The 30-year-old has played in 93 career NHL games previously, with eight goals, five assists, 102 SOG and 97 PIMs.

Hartman was a healthy scratch in the Wild's previous game but, as expected, will draw back into the Wilds' lineup Saturday as they take on Buffalo. The 28-year-old has five goals, nine assists, 64 SOG, 47 PIMs and a -2 plus/minus through 25 games played.


Schultz missed the Kraken's previous two games as he dealt with an undisclosed injury and is considered week-to-week. The 32-year-old will hope to be back soon as he has five goals, 19 assists, 59 SOG, 28 PIMs and a +7 plus/minus through 42 games prior to the injury. Carson Soucy will replace Schultz on the second powerplay unit.

Hanley has yet to pick up a point through 13 games this season but has nine SOG, 15 PIMs and a +5 plus/minus but will be a healthy scratch as Nils Lundkvist draws back into the Stars' lineup.

Murray was pulled after allowing four goals on eight shots (.500 SV%) in his previous start vs. Florida. The 28-year-old has been solid in his first season in Toronto, with his 11-5-2 record, 2.73 GAA and .911 SV%. He takes on the Ottawa Senators, who won their last game 2-1 vs. the New York Islanders and are fifth in the NHL in shots on goal (33.7) per game.

Lundkvist has been a healthy scratch for the Stars' previous four games but will draw back into the lineup Friday as he replaces Joel Hanley on Dallas's back end. The 22-year-old who was acquired for a 1st round pick in the offseason, has four goals, 10 assists, 69 SOG, 26 PIMs and a -6 plus/minus through 43 games so far this season.

Oettinger allowed three goals on 24 shots (.875 SV%) for his second-straight overtime loss as he was defeated by Carolina in his last start. The 24-year-old has been sensational all year for the Stars, with his 21-7-6 record, 2.24 GAA and .924 SV%. He takes on the New Jersey Devils, who are coming off a 6-4 loss to Nashville but have won seven of their last nine games.

Fasching has missed the Islanders' previous three games due to a lower-body injury and will be out Friday and Saturday as the team takes on Detroit and Vegas. The 27-year-old has three goals, two assists, six PIMs and 15 SOG through 19 games prior to his injury.

Dobson hasn't played in the Islanders' previous two games due to a lower-body injury and will remain out until after the all-star break as he is set to miss Friday and Saturday's game as well. Dobson has been having a strong fourth season, with 10 goals, 17 assists, 137 SOG, 12 PIMs and a -5 plus/minus through 48 games.
