Jim Nill has confirmed the goaltender will be out for at least a week before being re-evaluated. It will be a massive loss for the Stars as Oettinger was having his best season to date, amassing a 5-1-0 record to go along with his 1.40 GAA and .952 SV%.
Quick can only improve after allowing five goals on only 18 shots (.722 SV%) in his last start, a loss against the Winnipeg Jets. The 36-year-old veteran has struggled mightily in 2022-23, amassing a .878 SV% and 3.81 GAA while picking up a 2-4-0 record. He takes on the St.Louis Blues who have struggled to put pucks in the net, ranking 29th in the NHL in GF/GP with 2.57.
General Manager Patrik Allein announced Monday that Guillaume Brisebois has been assigned to Abbotsford of the AHL. Prior to the demotion, Brisebois was dressed for the last three straight games where he collected his first ever NHL point with an assist against Pittsburgh their last time out.
It will be the first time this season the 26-year-old has been sent to the press box through seven games. He has yet to collect his first point of the season after picking up 13 points (3G/10A) in 54 games with the Blues in 2021-22.
Rosen was a healthy scratch for the Blues previous outing in a 7-4 loss to Montreal. He draws back into St.Louis' lineup to replace Niko Mikkola and has zero points through two games so far in 2022-23.

He faces an offensively strong Sabres team coming off a 4-3 overtime win over Chicago. Buffalo surprisingly ranks 5th in the NHL in goals for per game (3.63).
Kuemper was perfect his last time taking the crease, stopping 34 of 34 shots for his first shutout as a member of the Washington Capitals in a 3-0 win over Nashville. He has enjoyed a solid start to his Washington tenure, posting a .919 SV% and 2.48 GAA to go along with his 4-3-0 record. He faces Carolina who is coming off a 4-3 overtime win over Florida and averages the sixth most amount of shots per game (36.4).
Binnington is coming off a horrific start Saturday where he allowed six goals on 24 shots (.750 SV%) to earn his second loss in as many starts. The up-and-down netminder will be hoping to raise his .903 SV% and lower his 2.60 GAA unlike what he has done in his last two starts. They will take on the LA Kings who are coming off a 4-2 victory of Toronto and has scored four goals in each of their last three games.
Lybushkin missed the Sabres' previous outing Saturday vs. Chicago and will miss Buffalo's game tonight vs. the Red Wings. In six games since joining the Sabres in the offseason, Lyubushkin has one assist and is a +2 rating while playing a modest 15:01 TOI per night.
With John Carlson out with a lower-body injury, Irwin will play in Carolina. The 34-year-old defenseman has played in 400 career NHL games, including 17 games last year, where he had one goal and three assists.

It was a nice surprise as McAvoy was not expected back until closer to the new year.
