Allen was incredible in his last start six days ago stopping 37 of 38 shots in a 3-0 loss to the Detroit Red Wings. With the Canadiens having a back-to-back he took the bench for their last game but still carries an impressive .943 SV% and 2.03 GAA as he leads Montreal Thursday. The Canadiens will run into the Coyotes who are coming off their first victory of the season with a 3-2 win over the Toronto Maple Leafs Monday.

Robertson was the victim of a numbers game after a strong preseason showing but is back with the Maple Leafs and will make his season debut on Thursday. Robertson, who has one goal and one assist in 16 career NHL games, will replace Denis Malgin and skate on the second line with John Tavares and William Nylander.

Forsberg will start Thursday vs. the Capitals.

Anton Forsberg draws his fourth start in as many games as he and the 1-2-0 Ottawa Senators host the Capitals at home Wednesday. Forsberg collected his first win of the season his last time out with a 29 save 7-5 victory over the Boston Bruins. He enters play with a 3.39 GAA and .900 SV%. He faces a Capitals squad that has won their last two games while averaging 4.5 goals between the two wins.

Merzlikins will start Thursday vs. the Predators.

Elvis will draw his third start of the season after stopping 32 of 35 shots in an overtime win over the Vancouver Canucks Tuesday. After missing Columbus' first two games due to injury, he has struggled in his two starts going 1-0-1 with a 3.90 GAA and .867 SV%. He faces the struggling Predators who have dropped their last three contest.

Sorokin was the first goalie off of the ice at the Islanders morning skate.

Sorokin stopped 22 of 23 shots as the New York Islanders handled Anaheim 7-1 in his last time out Saturday. Coming off five days of rest after being given the night off Tuesday, Sorokin will be looking to continue his strong play early as he carries a .941 SV% and 1.53 GAA into his third start of the season. He will be taking on a Devils' team at home that is averaging 2.67 goals for with only eight goals through their first three games.

Reimer made 41 saves in a 45-shot losing effort to the New York Islanders his last time out Tuesday. He will be looking for his first win of the season after starting 0-3-0 for the winless Sharks with a 3.05 GAA. He will hope for better result Thursday as he takes his .919 SV% into New York to take on the 3-1-0 Rangers and Igor Shesterkin.

Samsonov is in the starter's crease at the Maple Leafs morning skate.

Samsonov stopped 26 of 28 shots in the Maple Leafs win over the Senators last Saturday. Samsonov got the night off on Monday but he figures to be busy moving forward with Matt Murray on IR. Through two starts, Samsonov has gone 2-0-0 with a 2.00 GAA and .926 SV%. He draws a tough matchup on Thursday with the Stars in town. Dallas has won their first three games while averaging 4.3 goals for and 1.0 goals against per game.

Jakub Vrana was placed in the NHL/NHLPA Assistance Program Wednesday

Vrana will be out indefinitely as he enters the NHL/NHLPA Assistance Program. The seven-year veteran was enjoying a strong start to his season, collecting two points (1G/1A) through his first two games to start 2022-23. The Red Wings will hope to have him back in their lineup sooner rather than later as he is an integral part of their top six.

Felix Sandstrom will get his first start of the season Wednesday

Sandstrom draws his first start of the 2022-23 season as the undefeated Philadelphia Flyers head to Florida to take on the Panthers Wednesday night. In five career NHL games, the 25-year-old netminder has played well with a .910 SV% while still yet to achieve his first career victory.
