Nedeljkovic will make his first start of the season in the second half of the Red Wings' back-to-back as they take on New Jersey Saturday. The 26-year-old struggled in his first season in Detroit in 2021-22 posting a .901 SV% and 3.31 GAA while winning 20 of 52 games started.

Acquired in the offseason, Husso enjoyed a breakout campaign in his second year with St.Louis in 2021-22, posting an impressive .919 SV%, 2.56 GAA while collecting 25 wins off 38 games started. He will be looking to start his Detroit career out on the right foot Friday.

Tarasov played well in his season debut, stopping 39 of 43 Caroline Hurricane shots on way to an eventual 4-1 loss. The 23-year-old netminder will be looking for his first career victory as he takes the crease for his fifth career start against the Lightning Friday.

The Canadiens netminder will hope to keep his undefeated streak alive after playing a big part in Montreal's opening night victory over rival Toronto stopping 29 of 32 shots. He faces off against another Original Six rival playing their first game of the young season.

Reimer will start Friday vs. the Hurricanes.

Reimer will take the net for his second start of the 2022-23 season and first start on North American soil. The 34-year-old played well in the Shark's opener a week ago, stopping 28 of 31 shots while getting minimal offensive support. He and the Sharks will be hoping to enter the win column for the first time this season but have the daunting task of doing so against the powerhouse that is the Hurricanes.

Oettinger as expected, should lead the Stars as they take on the undefeated Nashville Predators on the road after being the first goalie off the ice at Dallas' morning skate. Oettinger earned a new three-year, $12 million contract in the offseason after leading the Stars back to the playoffs after the 23-year-old posted 30 wins, and .914 SV% on the season. The three-year veteran will look to keep his career GAA around the impressive 2.59 GAA mark he has achieved in his first 77 games with Dallas.

Saros is expected to take the crease after easily winning Nashville's opening game vs San Jose 4-1 last week in Prague. The Finish star stopped 30 of 31 shots (.968 SV%) as the Predators handled the Sharks easily. Nashville enters the game on a two-game winning streak and will hope to continue their early season success as they return to hockey on North American soil.

The league's oldest player, 41-year-old netminder Craig Anderson takes the crease for the Sabres' opening home matchup against Ottawa. The 19-year veteran struggled in 2021-22, achieving his lowest SV% (.897) in nearly 16 seasons while collecting his 308th career win after a 31-start season.
