Gallagher will miss his third straight game with a lower-body injury on Monday and is expected to miss at least two weeks. Juraj Slafkovsky will continue to play a larger role while Gallagher is out.

With Savard unavailable for Monday's game in Vancouver, either Chris Wideman or Jordan Harris will draw into the Canadiens' lineup. Consider him questionable for tomorrow's game in Seattle as well.

Marchenko was recalled from the AHL on Monday morning. He skated with Cole Sillinger and Yegor Chinakhov and on the top power-play unit in Monday's practice.

Merzlikins allowed two goals on 17 shots (.882 SV%) his last time out in a relief appearance where he saw no decision vs. the Philadelphia Flyers. The 28-year-old has been horrendous this season with his .864 SV%, 4.74 GAA and 2-5-0 record. He will take on the Pittsburgh Penguins who have won their last two games and are sixth in the NHL in goals for (3.52) and eighth in shots (33.7).

Kyrou missed Saturday's game in Pittsburgh but will return to the lineup in New York. Kyrou has heated up recently, scoring six goals with nine assists (15 points) in his last 12 games.

Shepard has gone 6-0-2 with a 1.83 GAA and .932 SV% in eight games with Hershey (AHL) this season. With Darcy Kuemper dealing with an upper-body injury, Shepard is expected to serve as Charlie Lindgren's backup on Monday.

Yamamoto has missed 11 games with an undisclosed injury but is set to play Monday vs. the Capitals. Yamamoto has struggled offensively this season, posting just three assists in 13 games.

Foudy has no points in three games since being called up from the AHL. He's day-to-day with an undisclosed injury, so look for Martin Kaut to draw back into the lineup to replace him.

Lehkonen was hurt in Boston on Saturday and is day-to-day with an upper-body injury. With Lehkonen sidelined, Charles Hudon was recalled from the Avalanche and will make his debut on Monday. Alex Newhook will move up to the top line with Nathan MacKinnon and Mikko Rantanen.

Zub was hit in the face by the pick on Friday and missed Saturday's game vs. the Sharks. Sub will miss at 3-4 weeks, so don't expect to see him back on the Senators blueline until after the Christmas break.

Gross had two goals in three games with the Predators earlier in the season and has 11 points (2G / 9A) in 13 AHL games this season. He should get some playing time again this time around with Ryan McDonagh landing on IR with an upper-body injury.
