The Kraken are scratching Giordano as a precaution ahead of Monday's trade deadline. Giordano is a pending UFA this summer, so the Kraken are likely to trade him to a contender.
The Bruins have recalled Jack Studnicka from Providence (AHL).
It's unclear whether Studnicka will draw into the Bruins lineup on Wednesday but he comes up with two assists in 10 games with the Bruins this season. During his time in the AHL, he has picked up 33 points (9G / 24A) in 37 games.
The Rangers have acquired Frank Vatrano from the panthers for a 2022 fourth-round draft pick.
Vatrano has had a down year in Florida, scoring just 10 goals with nine assists (19 points) in 49 games. Vatrano has scored at a 23 goals per 82 game pace in his first three seasons with the team but is on a 17-goal pace this season. Vatrano should see more important ice time in New York than her did in Florida this year.

Zacha (upper-body) is doubtful to play Wednesday in Calgary.
Zacha left Tuesday's game with an upper-body injury just 2:40 into the game after getting hit while taking a shot and sliding heavily into the boards. Head coach Lindy Ruff called him doubtful to play Wednesday, so look for Mason Geertsen to draw into the lineup.

The Capitals have signed Joe Snively to a two-year contract extension worth $1.6 million ($800K AAV).

Carlsson has been a healthy scratch for the last two games but he will replace Gavin Bayreuther in the lineup in Ottawa. Carlsson has scored two goals with four assists (six points) in 26 games this season.
Danforth (lower-body) is expected to be back in the Blue Jackets lineup on Wednesday.
Danforth has missed the last two games but is expected to play Wednesday in Ottawa. Danforth, who has tallied five goals with two assists (seven points) in 23 games, will centre the fourth line with Eric Robinson and Emil Bemstrom.
Voracek (lower-body) is expected to be back in the Blue Jackets lineup on Wednesday.
Voracek missed Sunday's game vs. the Golden Knights but is expected to play tonight in Ottawa. Voracek, who has 43 points (3G / 40A) in 57 games, skated on the third line with Sean Kuraly and Yegor Chinakhov in Tuesday's practice.
