Bowey has cleared waivers and been assigned to Grand Rapids (AHL).

Bowey was placed on waivers on Monday and will go to the Griffins after clearing on Tuesday afternoon. The 24-year-old has been in-and-out of the Red Wings lineup this season, posting eight points (1G / 7A) in 22 games but has struggled defensively and that has resulted in a minus-13 rating.

The Jets have sent Mason Appleton to Manitoba (AHL).

Appleton has been on IR since mind-October but has been cleared to play, so he goes to the AHL to get some games in. Since he was last in the lineup, the Jets have added Nick Shore via waivers, bulking up their bottom-6 depth and allowing them to send Appleton to the AHL.

Over that stretch, he has posted a 1.84 GAA and .943 SV%, which leaves him third in the NHL in GAA (2.13) and fourth in SV% (.932) on the year. After sitting out for back-to-back games, Bobrovsky started both weekend games and went 2-0 while stopping 63 of the 65 shots (.969 SV%) that he faced. This could be a sign of Bobrovsky turning a corner but he draws a tough matchup on Tuesday. The Lightning played last night but he is 1-1-0 with a 3.54 GAA and .891 SV% in his first two games vs. Tampa Bay.

Rask led the Bruins onto the ice for warmups.

Rask surrendered four goals on 31 shots in the Bruins' loss to the Blackhawks last Thursday. The loss snapped a six-game winning streak for Rask, who is expected to start Monday in Ottawa. The 32-year-old is unsurprisingly 2-0-0 with a 1.50 GAA and .955 SV% in his first two-starts against the Senators this season. He is also 5-2-0 on the road, so Rask is a must-start on Monday.
