Sandin's MRI revealed no structural damage, so he won't be out as long as originally feared. Head coach Sheldon Keefe told reporters on Monday that the young blueline is expected to be sidelined for at least two weeks.

Marner landed on IR this morning and head coach Sheldon Keefe told reporters that he is expected to miss at least three weeks. Wayne Simmonds will take Marner's spot on the top line on Tuesday because Jason Spezza will be suspended.

Pionk was at the centre of the chaos during Saturday's game vs. the Maple Leafs and received a two-game suspension for kneeing Rasmus Sandin. Pionk will be eligible to return to the lineup in Vancouver on Friday.
Subban (lower-body) skated on Tuesday but will not be available vs. the Ducks.
Subban suffered a lower-body injury in his Sabres debut on Saturday and will not play vs. the Ducks. Subban was on the ice this morning and head coach Don Granato said he's making "definite progress."

Biega is a 33-year-old veteran defenseman with 241 career NHL games under his belt. However, he was one of two defensemen that was recalled from the Marlies and it looks like he'll be the extra vs. the Blue Jackets.
The Maple Leafs have sent Joey Anderson to Toronto (AHL).
Anderson had no points in two games with the Maple Leafs and returns to the AHL, where he has five goals and two assists in 13 games this season.

Steeves was an undrafted free agent out of the University of Notre Dame and has scored seven goals with five assists (12 points) in 12 games with the Marlies this season. He'll slot in on the Maple Leafs' fourth line on Tuesday.
Rubīns has been recalled from Toronto (AHL) and is expected to make his NHL debut on Tuesday.
Rubīns has one goal and three assists (four points) in 16 games with the Marlies this season. the 6-foot-5, 221 lbs. defenseman will replace Rasmus Sandin, who went on IR with a lower-body injury.

The Jets' defenseman was suspended for two games for the play but it looks like Sandin could miss an extended period of time. The Maple Leafs recalled Alex Biega and Kristiāns Rubīns from the AHL to help replace Sandin.
