The 28-year-old has been his usual incredible self, with his 16-9-1 record, 2.42 GAA and .921 SV%. He will face the Jets, who are in the middle of a three-game winning streak after their 3-2 win over Calgary last game.

Hellebuyck stopped 33 of 35 shots (.943 SV%) for his third straight win as he defeated Calgary in his previous start. The 29-year-old is a leading Vezina Trophy candidate this season due to his 19-9-1 record, 2.31 GAA and .928 SV%. He will face the Tampa Bay Lightning, who just snapped a four-game winning streak with a 5-1 loss to Minnesota last game.
Nic Dowd will return to the Capitals' lineup Friday vs. Nashville (personal).

Shattenkirk has nine assists, 72 SOG, 28 PIMs and a -6 plus/minus through 35 games this season but will miss Friday's matchup vs. the Sharks due to illness. Colton White will replace him until he is able to re-enter Anaheim's lineup.

Stolarz stopped seven of eight shots (.875 SV%) in a relief appearance the last time he saw action on Dec. 9th vs. San Jose. He will take on San Jose, who just snapped a three-game losing skid with a 5-2 win over Dallas in their last game.
