Sturm will be a healthy scratch for the first time all season, making way for Nick Bjugstad (upper-body) to play for the first time since the Winter Classic.

Bjugstad has been sidelined by an upper-body injury since the Winter Classic (Jan.1) but will play Sunday in Edmonton. Bjugstad, who has five points (4G / 1A) in 28 games this season, will replace Nico Sturm on the fourth line.

Benn played in three straight games but was a minus-1 in all three. On Sunday, he'll be replaced by Calen Addison, who was summoned from the AHL on Saturday.

Addison was recalled from the AHL on Saturday and will replace Jordie Benn in the lineup on Sunday. Addison has scored three goals with 14 assists (17 points) in 23 AHL games and has three points (2G / 1A) in nine NHL games this season.

Danforth has been out since December 30th but will play Sunday vs. the Sabres. Danforth will replace Trey Fix-Wolansky, who was sent to the AHL to make room for him. He has scored two goals with two assists in 15 games this season.

Merzlikins left Saturday's practice with a lower-body injury and will not be available for Sunday's game vs. the Sabres. With Joonas Korpisalo also hurt, J-F Berube will get the start for Columbus.

Chiarot missed the last two games with a lower-body injury but is expected to play against the Islanders. Chiarot appears to be one of the most coveted players at this year's trade deadline and enters Sunday with five goals and four assists (nine points) in 44 games this season.

Schueneman was likely to come out fo the lineup on Sunday anyways with Ben Chiarot expected to be back but now he definitely will not be available.

With Nick Bjugstad close to returning to the Wild lineup, Rask was waived and sent to the minors to clear room on the roster. The emergence of Matt Boldy and Connor Dewar had pushed Rask to a reserve role.

With Matt Dumba dealing with an injury, Addison has a chance to get back into the Wild lineup on Sunday. The 21-year-old defenseman has spent most of the season in the AHL but has suited up for nine games with the Wild, scoring two goals with one assist.
