The Coyotes have signed Ilya Lyubushkin to a one-year contract extension worth $1.35 million.
Lyubushkin has become a steady, stay-at-home defenseman for the Coyotes in 2021. While the 26-year-old only has two points (1G / 1A) in 31 games, he has 77 hits and 52 blocked shots while playing 15:30 ATOI.

Sorensen skated in the last two games but will sit Monday with John Leonard (undisclosed) back in the lineup. Sorensen has scored just one goal with four assists (five points) in 29 games this season.
