Ferland is believed to be dealing with the same concussion-like symptoms that have plagued him all season. Ferland is expected to be re-evaluated after the qualifying round but it seems unlikely that he will return in 2020.

The Capitals are playing it safe with their star defenseman and have listed him as a game-time decision for Thursday. If he doesn't play, Dmitry Orlov will continue to quarterback the Capitals' top power-play unit.
MacEachern is expected to draw into the Blues lineup on Thursday.
MacEachern will replace Ivan Barbashev, who left the bubble to be with his wife for the birth of their child. The 26-year-old had seven goals and three assists (10 points) in 51 regular-season games.

Boyd will replace Lars Eller, who left the bubble to be with his wife for the birth of their second child and is expected to centre the third line. Boyd had three goals and seven assists (10 points) in 24 regular-season games.

Eller went back to Washington on Wednesday to be with his wife for the birth of their second child. As a result, Eller won't be able to play on Thursday and will need to quarantine upon his return to the bubble, making him questionable for Sunday's game as well.
