Chabot was forced to leave Wednesday's game in the second period after being checked into the end-boards. TSN's Darren Dreger is reporting that Chabot suffered a broken hand and will be out of the lineup for "a while."

Primeau was demoted to make room for Jake Allen, who was activated from IR and is expected to start on Thursday. Primeau is 11-9-1 with a 2.80 GAA and .912 SV% in 23 AHL games this season.

Ylonen has only appeared in seven NHL games this season, spending most of the year with Laval, where he has 12 goals and 15 assists (27 points) in 40 games. He was demoted to make room for Christian Dvorak, who was activated from IR this morning.

Dvorak has been sidelined by an upper-body injury since January 24th but appears ready to play Thursday vs. the Stars. Dvorak has been relatively quiet in his first season with Montreal, scoring seven goals with nine assists (16 points) in 34 games.

Allen has been sidelined by a lower-body injury since January 12th but is expected to start Thursday vs. the Stars. Prior to getting hurt, Allen had gone 5-16-2 with a 3.15 GAA and .901 SV% in 24 starts. Cayden Primeau was sent to Laval (AHL) to make room for Allen.






The Kraken are retaining 50 percent of Jarnkrok's remaining salary. Jarnkrok is a quality defensive-first forward, who could be a perfect fit on a line with Mikael Backlund and Blake Coleman. Jarnkrok, who is Elias Lindholm's cousin, is in the final year of a six-year deal that carries $2.0M AAV cap-hit. He has scored 12 goals with 14 assists (26 points) in 49 games.

The Canadiens will retain 50% of Chiarot's salary for the remainder of the 2021-22 season. Chiarot was in his third season with the Canadiens and has scored seven goals with 11 assists (18 points) in 54 games this season. He's in the final year of a three-year deal with a $3.5M AAV cap-hit and will be a UFA this summer.


Hertl has had a terrific season, scoring 25 goals with 23 assists (48 points) in 59 games for the Sharks. Hertl has spent all nine years of his NHL career in San Jose since being drafted No.17 overall in 2012. His new deal will take him through the 2029-30 NHL season.


Bergeron was returned to Boston to have his arm treated, so he'll miss the last two games of the Bruins' road trip. Jack Studnicka was recalled from Providence (AHL) this morning and will take his spot in the lineup.
