Both Lafferty and Anthony Angello were returned to the AHL on Monday after the Penguins added a trio of forwards at the deadline. Lafferty has spent most of the season in Pittsburgh, scoring six goals with seven assists (13 points) in 46 games.
Benson appeared in five straight NHL games but heads back to the AHL with the Oilers adding Andreas Athanasiou and Tyler Ennis on Monday. The 21-year-old is second on Bakersfield with 36 points (9G / 27A) in 43 games this season.
Russell has been sidelined by a concussion since January 29th and without an imminent return, he was moved to LTIR to provide some salary-cap relief for their deadline moves. With both Russell and Oscar Klefbom out right now, GM Ken Holland went out and acquired Mike Green from the Red Wings on Sunday night.
Clutterbuck has been out since December 19th after undergoing wrist surgery but is ready to re-join the Islanders for Tuesday's morning skate. He played just two games during his conditioning stint but it's unclear whether or not he's 100 percent ready to return to the NHL lineup.
Ladd, who has played in just two NHL games and 34 AHL games this season, will be with the Islanders for the rest of the season following Monday's call-up. During his time in the AHL, he was second on the team with 11 goals, second only to the Kieffer Bellows, who he is replacing on the roster.
Following the acquisition of J.G. Pageau from the Senators, the Islanders announced that Bellows is going back to the AHL and Andrew Ladd is coming back up for good. Bellows has been solid in his brief time with the Isles, scoring two goals with one assist while playing 10:39 ATOI in eight games. He leads Bridgeport with 16 goals and is second with 24 points in 45 games.
With the Canadiens shipping Nick Cousins to the Golden Knights on Monday, Evans is back in the NHL after a brief return to the AHL. The 23-year-old has one goal in six games with the Canadiens but has really been strong in the AHL, leading Laval with 38 points (14G / 24A) in 51 games.
Demers practice partially with the team on Monday but will not play on Tuesday. It will be the 12th straight game that he's missed but could be back as early as Saturday vs. Buffalo.
The Flyers added two forwards at the deadline (Derek Grant and Nate Thompson) so they'll send Farabee back to the AHL "for now." GM Chuck Fletcher said that he wants "to make sure we’re giving Joel all the ability to be the player he can become. He’s only 19. He’s been a big part of our team but he’s going to be an even bigger part of our future…I have no doubt he’ll be back with us and help us.” This move also keeps Farabee available for the AHL playoffs.
Bunnaman may be a casualty of the Flyers moves on Monday. Philadelphia added two veteran centres in Derek Grant and Nate Thompson, likely forcing Bunnaman to the AHL for the foreseeable future. The 21-year-old has two points (1G / 1A) in 21 NHL games and five points (4G / 1A) inn 24 AHL games this season.
Persson is in his first year in North America and has split his time between the AHL and NHL this season. While with the Oilers, he had just two assists in 13 games but was second among Bakersfield defensemen with 16 points (3G / 13A) in just 27 AHL games. Expect him to report to San Diego (AHL).
This was probably the smallest trade of the deadline. Redmond is an undrafted goalie who is in the ECHL, however, he is an impressive 13-0-0 with a 2.31 GAA and .918 SV% with the Newfoundland Growlers. He's expected to remain in the ECHL post-trade.
Lehner was actually traded to the Maple Leafs and then flipped to the Golden Knights so that the Maple Leafs could retain part of Lehner's salary and receive the draft pick. Dzierkals has three goals and seven assists (10 points) in 31 games with Jukurit Mikkeli of the SM-liiga this season.
Thurkauf made his NHL debut in Nashville on Saturday, playing 8:01 TOI. The 22-year-old former seventh-round pick has picked up 25 points (9G / 16A) in 47 AHL games this season and is expected to be back on a line with Kevin Stenlund and Emil Bemstrom.
Bobrovsky allowed five goals on 40 shots in the Panthers loss in Los Angeles last Thursday. He was given Saturday night off but will make his 47th start tonight in Arizona. Bobrovsky has gone 10-10-3 with a 3.39 GAA and .892 SV% on the road this season. Conversely, the Coyotes are 8-1-3 while averaging 3.67 goals per game in their last 12 home games.
Lorito has nine goals and 13 assists (23 points) in 50 AHL games with Bridgeport (AHL) this season. This is a pure AHL deal, so look for Lorito to report to the Toronto Marlies.
In his first season in the Maple Leafs organization, Schmaltz has scored two goals with 11 assists (13 points) in 37 AHL games. This is a straight AHL trade, so look for Schmaltz to report to Bridgeport (AHL).
Balcers, who has one assist in seven games with the Senators this season, will come up after the Senators gutted their roster this afternoon. During his time in the AHL, the 22-year-old has scored 16 goals with 20 assists (36 points) in 33 games.
Davidson has split his campaign between the NHL and AHL, picking up 20 points (3G / 17A) in 34 games with Stockton. During his time in the NHL he had no points in seven games, giving him just 23 points (9G / 14A) in 169 career games with the Oilers, Canadiens, Islanders, Blackhawks and Flames. Now he heads to his sixth team where it's unclear whether he'll report to the NHL or AHL.
