The Panthers have acquired Eetu Luostarinen, Erik Haula, Lucas Wallmark and Chase Priskie from the Hurricanes for Vincent Trocheck.

The Hurricanes selected Luostarinen with the 42nd overall pick in the 2017 NHL entry draft. The 21-year-old forward played eight games with the Hurricanes earlier this season, registering one assist and a -2 rating. He has eight goals and 17 assists in 44 AHL games this season.

The Panthers have acquired Chase Priskie, Erik Haula, Lucas Wallmark and Eetu Luostarinen from the Hurricanes for Vincent Trocheck.

Priskie was a sixth-round pick of the Washington Capitals in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft. The 23-year-old defenseman is enjoying a productive rookie season in the AHL, registering six goals and 25 assists through 52 games with the Charlotte Checkers.

Chase Priskie
The Panthers have acquired Lucas Wallmark, Erik Haula, Chase Priskie and Eetu Luostarinen from the Hurricanes for Vincent Trocheck.

A fourth-round pick in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft, Wallmark established himself as an effective two-way forward over the last two seasons. The 24-year-old has 11 goals and 12 assists through 60 games this season despite playing less than 13 minutes a game. Wallmark is set to become a restricted free-agent on July 1.

Lucas Wallmark
The Panthers have acquired Erik Haula, Lucas Wallmark, Chase Priskie and Eetu Luostarinen from the Hurricanes for Vincent Trocheck.

Haula performed admirably in his third-line role for the Hurricanes after being acquired from Vegas in the off-season. Injuries limited him to just 41 games in a Carolina uniform, but he was able to register 12 goals and 10 assists while playing less than 16 minutes a night. He should play more of a top-six role now with the Panthers. Haula is set to become an unrestricted free-agent on July 1.

Erik Haula
The Hurricanes have acquired Vincent Trocheck from the Panthers for Erik Haula, Lucas Wallmark, Chase Priskie and Eetu Luostarinen.

Carolina will hope Trocheck can regain some of the elite form he flashed in the 2017-18 season, when he racked up a career high 75 points (31G/44A). Trocheck hasn't quite looked like himself since suffering a fractured ankle in November 2018. The 26-year-old has 10 goals and 26 assists through 55 games this season.

The Islanders have acquired J.G. Pageau from the Senators for a 2020 first-round pick, a 2020 second-round pick and a conditional 2022 third-round pick.

The 2020 first-round pick is top-three protected, and the 2022 third-rounder is conditional on the Islanders winning the Stanley Cup this season. Pageau is in the midst of a career year, scoring 24 goals and adding 16 assists in 60 games this season. The 27-year-old is set to become an unrestricted free-agent on July 1.

Jean-Gabriel Pageau
The Avalanche have acquired Vladislav Namestnikov from the Senators for a 2021 fourth-round pick.

The Senators originally traded a 2021 fourth-round pick for Namestnikov so they recoup that pick by sending him to the Avalanche. Namestnikov, who will be a UFA this summer, has scored 13 goals with 12 assists (25 points) in 56 games this season.

Vladislav Namestnikov
The Red Wings have acquired Kyle Brodziak and a conditional 2020 fourth-round pick from the Oilers for Mike Green.

Brodziak has missed the entire season with a back injury and his career is likely over, so his move is just cap related. The Red Wings take on his contract and retain 50 percent of Green’s contract to allow Edmonton to take on the veteran defenseman.

Kyle Brodziak
The Oilers have acquired Mike Green from the Red Wings for Kyle Brodziak a conditional 2020 fourth-round pick.

The Red Wings will get a 2021 third-round pick instead if the Oilers make it to the Western Conference Finals and Mike Green plays in 50 percent of the games. The Red Wings are also retaining half of Green’s salary. Green helps bolster an Oilers blueline that is currently without Oscar Klefbom and Kris Russell. The veteran defenseman has struggled this season, scoring three goals with eight assists (11 points) and a minus-32 rating in 48 games.

Mike Green
Smith starts Sunday in Los Angeles.

Smith allowed two goals on 34 shots in the Oilers loss to the Bruins last Wednesday. Mikko Koskinen got the not vs. the Wild on Friday but they’ll come back to Smith for his 32nd start tonight in Los Angeles. He’s 9-6-2 with a 2.67 GAA and .913 SV% at home but has struggled against L.A., giving up eight goals on 44 shots (.818 SV%) in two games.

Mike Smith
Gibson led the Ducks onto the ice for warmups.

Gibson stopped 28 of 29 shots in the Ducks loss to the Avalanche on Friday. It was a great effort from Gibson, who has been solid recently, stopping 93 of the last 98 shots (.949 SV%) that he has faced. He’s gone 1-2-0 with a 4.04 GAA and .900 SV% in his first three starts against the Golden Knights this season.

John Gibson
Grant will sit out of Sunday’s game for “precautionary reasons.”

With the trade deadline coming on Monday, the Ducks will sit Grant tonight and either David Backes or Kiefer Sherwood will draw into the lineup. Grant could be a low-cost piece for a team in need of a fourth-line centre.

Derek Grant
The Ducks have recalled Kiefer Sherwood from San Diego (AHL).

Sherwood has been called up on a number of occasions this season but has yet to appear in a game with the Ducks. He has played 50 career NHL games to-date and has 23 points (16G / 7A) in 37 AHL games this season. He could replace a potential trade chip like Derek Grant in their last game before the deadline.

Kiefer Sherwood
Subban will start Sunday in Anaheim.

Subban allowed five goals on 24 shots in the Golden Knights victory over the Blues on February 13th. Marc-Andre Fleury started the last four games, including last night, so Subban will get his 19th start tonight in Anaheim. He’s 6-5-2 with a 2.76 GAA and .905 SV% on the road this year and gave up four goals on 18 shots in a loss in his first start vs. the Ducks.
