Barkov left Saturday's game vs. the Canadiens with a lower-body injury and did not return. Head coach Joel Quenneville said that their captain will miss tonight's game and is day-to-day.

Athanasiou (lower-body) will return to the Red Wings lineup on Monday.
Athanasiou missed the last 13 games with a lower-body injury but will play Monday vs. the Flyers. Athanasiou will replace Filip Zadina, who is out with a lower-body injury of his own, and skate on the top-line and top power-play unit.
Goalie Start
Khudobin will start Monday in New York.
Khudobin was pulled after he allowed four goals on 17 shots in the Stars loss in Minnesota on January 18th. Khudobin has lost his last two starts and is now 7-6-1 with a 2.59 GAA and .924 SV% on the road this season. Tonight he faces a Rangers team that has won six of their last nine (6-3-0) while averaging 3.33 goals per game.
Kreider (upper-body) will be a game-time decision on Monday.
Kreider was hurt in Saturday's win in Detroit but was on the ice for Monday's morning skate and will be a game-time decision vs. the Stars. Kreider has been absolutely red-hot, scoring at a point-per-game pace with 22 points (12G / 10A) in his last 22 games.

Lundqvist stopped all 33 shots that he faced in the Rangers' shutout win in Detroit on Saturday. It was a great outing for the veteran, who was starting for the first time in 21 days. Tonight he faces the Stars at Madison Square Garden, where he has gone 8-3-1 with a 2.76 GAA and .922 SV% in 13 games this season.
Dermott (illness) will be a game-time decision on Monday.
Dermott missed Saturday's game vs. the Senators with food poisoning but will play tonight vs. the Panthers. Dermott, who has eight points (4G / 4A) in 38 games, will replace Martin Marincin on the blueline.

The Devils have recalled Joey Anderson from Binghamton (AHL).
Anderson was a third-round pick in 2016 and has scored 15 goals with 19 assists (34 points) in 44 AHL games this season. He had seven points (3G / 4A) in 34 NHL games with the Devils last season.

Andersen will start Monday vs. the Panthers.
Andersen allowed three goals on 34 shots in the Maple Leafs' win in Dallas last Wednesday. Andersen has played well since returning from the bye week, winning two in a row while stopping 65 of the 70 shots (.929 SV%) that he has faced. The Panthers were terrible in Montreal on Saturday but chased Andersen in Florida on January 12th, scoring four goals on 12 shots.
The Islanders have recalled Kieffer Bellows from Bridgeport (AHL).
Bellows was the No.19 overall pick in 2016 and has scored 16 goals with eight assists (24 points) in 45 AHL games this season. The 21-year-old could make his NHL debut Tuesday vs. the Stars.
The Rangers have recalled Phil Di Giuseppe from Hartford (AHL).
Di Giuseppe has scored 14 goals with 12 assists (26 points) in 43 games with the Wolf Pack this season. With Chris Kreider battling an upper-body injury, Di Giuseppe could make his Rangers debut on Monday. He has 41 points (14G / 27A) in 150 career NHL games.
Kreider is day-to-day with an upper-body injury.
Kreider took a knee from teammate Mika Zibanejad mid-way through their win over the Red Wings on Saturday. The Rangers said it's not a concussion and was already feeling better after the game but Phil Di Giuseppe was recalled from Hartford (AHL) which suggests that he won't be available for Monday's game vs. the Stars.
The Blue Jackets signed Nathan Gerbe to a two-year extension worth $1.5 million ($750K AAV).
Zadina is expected to miss two weeks with a lower-body injury.
