Lehner will start Wednesday vs. the Bruins.

Lehner allowed four goals on 26 shots in the Blackhawks loss to the Panthers on January 21st. The loss snapped a three-game winning streak for Lehner, who has gone 7-3-3 with a 2.72 GAA and .925 SV% on home ice this season. He has a tough matchup tonight with the Bruins in town but he was equal to the task in early-December, stopping 37 of the 40 shots that he faced in a 4-3 OT win in Boston.

Ryan returned to practice on Wednesday.

Ryan has been away from the team while taking part in the NHL/NHLPA player assistance program but was back at practice on Wednesday. Ryan was a full participant but isn't expected to play on Thursday. Ryan will likely need a couple of practices to get back up to game speed.

Bobby Ryan
Patrick (head) returned to practice on Wednesday.

Patrick, who has missed the entire season with a migraine condition, skated in a regular jersey in Wednesday's practice. Head coach Alain Vigneault downplayed his appearance on the ice because the team only worked on skills, but its positive nonetheless. This is a huge step for the 2017 No.2 overall pick, who will likely head to Lehigh Valley (AHL) for a conditioning stint once he's ready for game action.

The Jets have recalled Andrei Chibisov from Manitoba (AHL).

Chibisov, 26, is in his first season in North America and has seven goals with 17 assists (24 points) in 46 AHL games this season. He rotated on the Jets fourth line in his first practice with them so it doesn't look like he'll make his NHL debut on Thursday.

Rutta is week-to-week with a lower-body injury.

Rutta suffered a lower-body injury in the Lightning's win over the Golden Knights on Tuesday and he is expected to miss a couple of weeks. With Rutta out, Mikhail Sergachev moved to the top-pair in Wednesday's practice and Brayden Coburn looks like he'll be back in the lineup on Thursday.

Jan Rutta
Elliott will start Thursday vs. the Devils.

Elliott stopped all 16 shots that he faced in the Flyers shutout win in Detroit on Monday. Elliott has won four of his last five starts (4-0-1) while posting a 1.58 GAA, .935 SV% and two shutouts. Tonight he faces a Devils team that has lost six of their last seven games (1-3-3) while averaging 3.00 goals for and 4.86 goals against per game.

Brian Elliott
The Red Wings have recalled Gustav Lindstrom from Grand Rapids (AHL).

Lindstrom was a second-round pick of the Red Wings in 2017 (No.38 overall) and is in his first season in North America. The 21-year-old defenseman has registered five assists in 45 AHL games this season. He takes Mike Green's (upper-body) spot on the roster.

The Red Wings have recalled Taro Hirose from Grand Rapids (AHL).

Hirose started the season with the Red Wings, posting seven points (2G / 5A) in 23 games. Since going to the AHL, the 23-year-old has scored four goals with 15 assists (19 points) in 22 games. He will take Frans Nielsen's (upper-body) spot on the roster.
