Blackwood allowed three goals on 27 shots in the Devils win in Carolina on Saturday. The win was Blackwood's third in his last five starts and he has posted a 2.37 GAA, .908 SV% and one shutout while doing so. Tonight he faces a Winnipeg team that has won three of four while scoring 3.25 goals per game.
Grubauer allowed two goals on 29 shots in Colorado's loss to the Stars last Friday. The Avalanche are struggling without Mikko Rantanen and Gabriel Landeskog but Grubauer is still keeping them in games. He's lost three of four (1-2-1) while posting a 2.52 GAA and .915 SV% but draws a tough road assignment in Dallas. The Stars have won six of their last seven while scoring 2.86 goals per game.
Koivula, 21, has two goals and two assists in seven games with Bridgeport this season. He did not appear in a game with the Islanders during his first call-up but could make his NHL debut on this home-stand.
Helgeson, 29, has three assists in 12 games with Bridgeport this season and comes up to serve as an extra defenseman because Nick Leddy is out. Helgeson has one goal and three assists (four points) in 50 career NHL games (all with the Devils).
Lindholm has been sidelined since October 27th and his movement to IR opens up a roster spot for Zach Senyshyn to come up from the AHL. Lindholm is eligible to be activated whenever he is back to 100 percent.
Senyshyn was a first-round pick in 2015 (No.15 overall) and has one goal in two career NHL games to-date. Senyshyn has had a slow start to the 2019-20 campaign, scoring just two goals with one assist in 12 AHL games.
Beaulieu missed the first five weeks of the NHL season with an upper-body injury but is set to replace Tucker Poolman in the lineup on Tuesday. Beaulieu had five assists in 18 games after joining the Jets last year, giving him 12 points (3G / 9A) in 48 games total in 2018-19.
Rittich stopped all 43 shots that he faced in the Flames shutout win in Columbus on Saturday. Cam Talbot gave him the night off on Sunday, but they'll come right back to Rittich tonight. He has been relatively inconsistent on a night-to-night basis but has won five of his last eight while posting a 2.55 GAA and .921 SV%, so he's a good option vs. an Arizona team that played last night.
Mrazek surrendered three goals on 32 shots in the Hurricanes win over the Red Wings last Friday. The win extended Mrazek's winning streak to three--he has stopped 89 of the 93 shots (.957 SV%) that he's faced over that span. He hasn't been as good on the road, going 1-1-1 with a 3.21 GAA and .893 SV% in three games and Philadelphia is 4-1-1 with 4.17 goals per game at Wells Fargo Center.
Hintz was not on the ice for the Stars morning skate and head coach Jim Montgomery doesn't expect to have him for at least two games. This is a huge blow for a Stars team that is rolling right now and Hintz is a huge part of that, scoring nine goals on 33 shots (27.3 SH%) with two assists in 16 games. Jason Dickinson will replace him on the second line with Jamie Benn and Joe Pavelski.
Timashov played in 10 straight games but will get a chance to watch from the press box on Tuesday. Head coach Mike Babcock said that Timashov didn't do anything wrong to warrant sitting but they are rewarding Nic Petan for a strong showing with the Marlies (AHL).
Petan didn't do much with the Maple Leafs earlier in the year but had a nice two-game stint with the Marlies, picking up two goals and three assists. He will replace Dmytro Timashov on the fourth line and re-enters the lineup with one goal and one assist in nine career games with the Maple Leafs.
Bishop had his shutout bid ended late in Saturday's win over the Canadiens. He stopped 35 of 36 shots in that game and has now stopped 134 of the last 141 (.950 SV%) that he has faced. Bishop is rolling and tonight he takes on a Colorado team that is 1-3-1 while scoring just 12 goals in five games (2.40 GF/gm) without Mikko Rantanen.
Quick surrendered five goals on 49 shots in the Kings loss to the Canucks on Wednesday. Quick has lost three straight starts while allowed a combined 14 goals on 110 shots (.873 SV%). Quick has been under siege as of late and a matchup with the Maple Leafs who are seventh in goals (3.47 GF/gm) and 13th in shots (32.1/gm) is a recipe for disaster for Quick.
Fleury allowed five goals on 29 shots in the Golden Knights loss to the Canadiens last Thursday. Fleury then missed Saturday's game vs. the Jets with the flu but will start tonight in Columbus. He has yet to lose on the road this season, going 4-0-0 with a 1.27 GAA, .960 SV% and one shutout in four starts, so make sure he's active on Tuesday.
Andersen allowed three goals on 40 shots in the Maple Leafs shootout win in Philadelphia on Saturday. Andersen has won five of his last seven starts while posting a 2.62 GAA and .917 SV% and he becomes an even better option with John Tavares drawing back into the lineup tonight. Los Angeles comes in averaging 2.71 goals per game (23rd).
Tavares missed seven games with a fractured finger but will play Tuesday vs. the Kings. Unsurprisingly, the Maple Leafs struggled without their captain, going 3-2-2 while averaging 3.00 goals per game versus 4-3-1 while averaging 3.88 goals per game with him in the lineup. He'll return with seven points (3G / 4A) in eight games and will play on a line with Mitch Marner and Trevor Moore.
Korpisalo allowed two goals on 28 shots in the Blue Jackets' 3-0 loss to the Flames on Saturday. Korpisalo has now dropped three straight while giving up a combined 12 goals on just 85 shots (.859 SV%). He carries a .885 home SV% into Tuesday's meeting with a Golden Knights team that is 4-2-0 while averaging 3.00 goals per game on the road this season.
Greiss allowed two goals on 35 shots in the Islanders win over the Lightning last Friday. The Islanders are rolling right now so they will stick with their goaltending rotation. Personally, Greiss has won four in a row while posting a 2.00 GAA and .937 SV%. This is reminiscent of what we saw in 2018-19, so continue to trust Greiss until he starts playing poorly.
Rinne gave up six goals on 27 shots in the Predators overtime loss to the Flames last Thursday. It was a rare rough outing for Rinne, who will be back between the pipes in Detroit. He has yet to lose in regulation (7-0-2) while posting. a 2.19 GAA and .920 SV% in nine starts this season, so don’t hesitate to start him against one of the worst teams in hockey.
