Abdelkader is set to miss his third straight game with a lower-body injury and he was moved to IR to open up a roster spot to bring up Joe Hicketts from Grand Rapids (AHL). He is eligible to come off of injured reserve and play in the Red Wings next game (Friday in Carolina.)

Sergei Bobrovsky started the last three games, including last night, so look for Montembeault to make his third start of the year on Monday. Tonight he faces a Vancouver team that has won six of their last eight while averaging 3.88 goals per game.
With Mika Zibanejad dealing with an injury, Chytil comes up and could draw into the lineup on Tuesday. Chytil has had a nice start to the season, tying for the team lead with nine points (3G / 6A) in nine games with Hartford.
Blandisi was a healthy scratch on Saturday and heads back to the AHL with Alex Galchenyuk and Brian Dumoulin set to return on Tuesday. Blandisi had no points in one AHL game prior to getting called up.
Johnson served as a healthy scratch in the last two games and with Alex Gelchenyuk nearing a return to the lineup, Johnson heads back to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (AHL). The 25-year-old had two assists in one AHL game before he was called up.
Regula was a third-round pick (No.67 overall) in 2018 and is currently a top-pair defenseman with the London Knights (OHL). Regula is a towering defenseman at 6-foot-4, 207 lbs. who has registered 11 points (4G / 7A) in 10 OHL games this season.
Perlini only played in one of the Blackhawks' first 10 games this season and voiced his displeasure and was hoping to be traded. The Blackhawks granted his request and send him to a Red Wings team that is devoid of NHL wingers right now. He should get all of the playing time he wants with the Red Wings and should immediately jump into their top-6 if head coach Jeff Blashill elects to get Andreas Athanasiou some help. Perlini is a former first-round pick (No.12 overall in 2014) but has career-highs of just 17 goals and 30 points (2018).
Lowry crunched Kylington into the corner during Saturday’s Heritage Classic and will miss Tuesday’s game in Anaheim and Friday’s game in San Jose. Logan Shaw was recalled from Manitoba (AHL) and will likely draw into the lineup for Lowry tomorrow.

Bishop allowed two goals on 26 shots in the Stars loss to the Penguins on Saturday. After starting the season at 1-4-1 with an .899 SV%, Bishop has since gone 2-1-0 with a .958 SV% in his last three outings. He's starting to look a lot more like the goalie that we saw in 2018-19 and that makes him a great option vs. Minnesota--the Wild offence is sputtering (2.36 GF/gm) and Bishop was 4-1-0 with a 0.89 GAA, .966 SV% and one shutout against them last season.
Sparks allowed two goals on 14 shots after replacing Marc-Andre Fleury in Vegas’ loss to the Avalanche last Friday. With Malcolm Subban back on the ice on Monday, Sparks heads back to Chicago, where he is 2-2-1 with a 2.15 GAA and .936 SV% this season.
Roy scored his first career goal on Sunday but gets sent back to the AHL on Monday. The Golden Knights are off until Thursday, so this could simply be a paper move but Alex Tuch is also nearing a return to the lineup so Roy could be clearing a roster spot for him to be activated.
Bischoff played in four of the last five games but gets sent back to Chicago which could mean one of two things. Either it’s just a paper move because the Golden Knights are off until Thursday. Or Nate Schmidt, who was a full participant in Monday’s practice is ready to take his spot in the lineup back.
Hague had three shots while playing 18:34 TOI last night and has two assists in eight NHL games overall. The Golden Knights are off until Thursday, so this could be nothing more than a money-saving paper move. However, Nate Schmidt was also a full participant in Monday’s practice, so it could also be a sign that he will return to the lineup on Thursday.
Motte suffered the injury while blocking a shot on Friday and is expected to miss at least one week. With Motte out, Loui Eriksson will be back in the Canucks lineup on Monday and Adam Gaudette was summoned from Utica (AHL).
Eriksson has been a healthy scratch for the last nine games but will replace Tyler Motte on Monday. Motte is expected to miss at least one week, so Eriksson could remain in the lineup for the next four games. He will skate on the fourth line with Jay Beagle and Tim Schaller.

Carrick broke his finger while blocking a shot in practice last Thursday and will be sidelined until at least late-November. This injury opens the door for one of Matt Tennyson or Mirco Mueller to remain in the lineup once Will Butcher is back.
Zibanejad suffered an upper-body injury on Sunday and was not on the ice for Monday’s practice. Brett Howden was bumped up into the top-6 and Ryan Strome was on the first power-play unit after Zibanejad got hurt. Look for them to play expanded roles and for Jesper Fast (personal) to replace him in the lineup if Zibanejad can’t play.
