Smith was still credited with a shutout and moved him to 3-1-1 with a 1.98 GAA, .930 SV% and one shutout in his first five starts with the Oilers. He is a fantastic option on Tuesday as he faces a Wild team that is 2-6-0 while ranking 29th in the NHL in scoring (2.25 GF/gm).
Talbot allowed one goal on 30 shots in the Flames win in Anaheim on Sunday. With David Rittich getting yanked on Saturday, the Talbot will stick with the hot-hand tonight vs. Washington. Talbot has stopped 54 of 58 shots (.931 SV%) to start his Flames career but draws a tough assignment vs. a Capitals team that is averaging 3.60 goals per game (6th in the NHL) in 2019-20.
Dubnyk allowed three goals on 33 shots in the Wild's win over Montreal on Sunday. It was the first win of the season for Dubnyk, who has allowed at least three goals in every start this season--going 1-5-0 with a 4.18 GAA and .874 SV% in six starts. He is 3-3-0 with a .910 SV% in six starts against the Oilers over the last three seasons.
Jones allowed four goals on 35 shots in the Sharks loss to the Sabres on Saturday. The loss snapped a brief two-game winning streak for Jones, who will face the Sabres again tonight. He is 0-2-0 while allowing eight goals on 59 shots (.864 SV%) in two road starts this season, so he comes with some risk against a Sabres team who is tied for fourth in goal-scoring (3.67 GF/gm).
Bitetto has missed the last two games but will replace Tucker Poolman (minor injury) in the lineup on Tuesday. Bitetto has one assist, 14 shots and a minus-2 rating in eight games this season.

Tonight he faces a Ducks team that has started the year 6-3-0 while averaging 2.56 goals per game (23rd in the NHL).
Hutchinson allowed four goals on 32 shots in the Maple Leafs loss in Washington last Wednesday. As per usual, Hutchinson is expected to start the second game of a back-to-back and draws a terrible matchup in Boston. Hutchinson has gone 0-1-1 while allowing nine goals on 74 shots (.878 SV%) in his two starts this year. Leave Hutchinson on free agency on Tuesday.
Lehner allowed two goals on 39 shots in the Blackhawks win over the Blue Jackets last Friday. Corey Crawford started Sunday, but they'll come back to Lehner tonight vs. the Golden Knights. Lehner has stopped 67 of the 72 shots (.931 SV%) that he has faced in his first two starts with Chicago and catches Vegas on the tail-end of a back-to-back tonight. The Golden Knights come in at 3-2-0 on the road.
Markstrom stopped 38 of 40 shots in the Canucks 3-2 win in New York on Sunday. It was a nice return to the crease for Markstrom, who missed two games earlier in the week due to a personal matter. Markstrom is 1-2-0 with a 2.37 GAA and .923 SV% on the road this year. He is a must-start against a Red Wings team that the Canucks handled in Vancouver last Tuesday.
Trocheck missed Monday's practice and Tuesday's morning skate, suggesting that he will not be available for tonight's game vs. the Penguins. Head coach Joel Quenneville would not rule Trocheck out, listing him as questionable. The newly signed Brian Boyle will replace Trocheck in the lineup and Noel Acciari may move up to centre the second-line.
Barkov left Saturday's game in Nashville but is good-to-go for Tuesday's game. This is huge news for the Panthers, who could be without their second-line centre, Vincent Trocheck. Barkov is still looking for his first goal of the season, having recorded just six assists in his first eight games of the season.

Krejci has been sidelined with an upper-body injury since the first period of last Monday’s game vs. the Ducks. Krejci’s move to IR simply opens up a roster spot to recall Anders Bjork from the AHL. He is eligible to be activated whenever he is healthy.
