Nylander was a healthy scratch on Saturday but will replace Brendan Perlini on Monday. Nylander who has one goal on two shots in two games will re-enter the lineup on the fourth line with Ryan Carpenter and Zack Smith.
Hawryluk has been in the lineup for the last four games, posting a minus-3 rating, two shots and two PIMS while averaging just 7:54 TOI/gm. Hawryluk will be replaced by Henrik Borgstrom in the Panthers’ bottom-6.
Borgstrom has been a healthy scratch for the last two games but will replace Jayce Hawryluk on Monday afternoon. Borgstrom has no points, one shot and two PIMS in three games this season.
Crawford gave up five goals on 34 shots in the Blackhawks loss to the Sharks last Thursday. Robin Lehner started Saturday vs. the Jets, but they will go back to Crawford tonight vs. the Oilers. He has given up a combined nine goals on 72 shots (.875 SV%) in his two starts and the Oilers come in as the second-highest scoring team in the league (4.20 GF/gm) and undefeated (5-0-0).
Steel has been out since the season-opener but will be back on the Ducks’ top-line on Monday afternoon. Steel will have Maxime Comtois and Ondrej Kase on his wings, but have a tough matchup against the Bruins.
Anisimov will miss Monday’s game against the Wild due to a lower-body injury. One of Jordan Szwarz or Nick Paul is expected to replace Anisimov in the lineup.
Gibson allowed two goals on 28 shots in the Ducks loss in Pittsburgh last Thursday. Gibson was given Friday off, so they’ll come back to him in Boston this afternoon. Gibson has been outstanding to kick-off 2019-20, going 3-1-0 with a 1.26 GAA and .961 SV% in his first four starts. As good as he has been, the Bruins present a very difficult matchup.
Stalock allowed one goal on 11 shots after replacing Devan Dubnyk in the Wild’s loss to the Penguins on Saturday. With Devan Dubnyk struggling to start the season, Stalock will make his first start today in Ottawa. He was 2-5-0 with a 2.92 GAA and .898 SV% on the road last year.
Greiss allowed four goals on 39 shots in the Islanders' loss in Carolina last Friday. Semyon Varlamov won Saturday vs. The Panthers but they will come back to Greiss vs. the Blues. He is 1-1-0 with a 2.40 GAA and .921 SV% in three appearances and faces a Blues team that has started 3-1-1 while averaging 3.40 goals per game so far.
Binnington gave up five goals on 37 shots in the Blues loss in Montreal on Saturday. The loss snapped a brief two-game winning streak for Binnington, who is 2-1-1 with a 2.97 GAA and .910 SV% to start the season. He draws a good matchup against the Islanders—they are averaging just 2.20 goals per game (tied for 25th in the NHL) through five games.
Zuccarello was originally expected to accompany the team on their road-trip but was instead held back in Minnesota and will not play until they return home on Sunday at the earliest. Victor Rask Ryan Donato is the most likely candidate to draw back into the lineup and replace the veteran winger.
There were reports on Monday morning that Nicklas Hjalmarsson will miss approximately three months, so Capobianco has earned a call-up and could be in-line for an extended stay with the Coyotes. The former third-round pick had 32 points (7G / 25A) in 40 AHL games last year and has failed to record a point in his first three career NHL contests.
McIntyre has gone 2-0-0 while giving up just six goals on 62 shots (.903 SV%) in his first two starts of the AHL season. With Jacob Markstrom leaving the team for personal reasons, McIntyre comes up to serve as Thatcher Demko’s backup.
Bishop surrendered two goals on 29 shots in the Stars shootout loss to the Flames last Thursday. Anton Khudobin started Saturday, so Bishop comes into this afternoon’s game well-rested. The 32-year-old has gone 1-2-1 with a 2.48 GAA and .910 SV% in four games this season. Buffalo has played well early-on, going 4-0-1 while averaging 4.00 goals per game (t-4th).
Markstrom is expected to rejoin the Canucks on their road-trip which begins on Thursday but for now, they will roll with Thatcher Demko as their starter and Zane McIntyre has been called up from Utica (AHL) to be the backup.
Clifton has no points while playing 15:30 ATOI in the first five games of the season and will be replaced by Steve Kampfer, who is making his season debut. “Cliffy’s played well, but a message that nothing is guaranteed,” is what head coach Bruce Cassidy had to say about scratching the rookie defenseman.
Kampfer has been a healthy scratch for the first five games of the season but will replace Connor Clifton on the blueline for Monday afternoon’s tilt vs. the Ducks. Kampfer had three goals and three assists in 35 NHL games last year.
Lazar has picked up one assist in three games with Rochester and has been recalled to serve as an extra forward as the Sabres head out to California for a road-trip starting on Wednesday. The former first-round pick has 51 points (15G / 36A) in 246 career NHL games with the Senators and Flames.
