Wahlstrom will make his NHL debut on Monday.

Wahlstrom is a 6-foot-2, 209 lbs. winger who was selected in the first-round (No.11 overall) of 2018. He had 19 points (8G / 11A) in 36 games as a freshman at Boston College before turning pro and joining the Bridgeport Sound Tigers, where he has six points (3G / 3A) in nine AHL games. He is expected to bounce around the lineup in his debut but is expected to skate with Mathew Barzal at times.

Oliver Wahlstrom
Tennyson will make his season debut on Monday.

Tennyson has been a healthy scratch for the first five games of the season but will replace Mirco Mueller on the blueline on Monday. Tennyson had 21 points (4G / 17A) in 47 AHL games and no points in four NHL games with the Sabres organization last year.

Matt Tennyson
Bobrovsky will start Monday afternoon in New Jersey.

Bobrovsky allowed two goals on 32 shots in the Panthers’ shootout loss in Buffalo last Friday. Samuel Montembeault started his first game on Saturday, so they’ll come back to Bobrovsky on Monday afternoon. The Devils are averaging just 1.80 goals per game (30th in the NHL) through five games, so Bobrovsky should start the week with a ‘W’.

Sergei Bobrovsky
Schneider will start Monday afternoon vs. the Panthers.

Schneider allowed three goals on 32 shots in the Devils loss in Boston on Saturday. Today will be the first time that a Devils goalie has starts two games in a row and Schneider comes in searching for his first win of the season. He has allowed a combined nine goals on 87 shots (.897 SV%). He’ll face a Panthers team that has stumbled out of the gate, going 1-2-2 while averaging just 2.60 goals per game.

Cory Schneider
Hjalmarsson is expected to miss three months with a cracked fibula.

Hjalmarsson blocked an Erik Johnson slapshot in the first period of Saturday’s game and will reportedly be sidelined until mid-January with a cracked fibula. This is a huge blow for the Coyotes blueline, who lost a huge minute-eater. Ilya Lyubushkin will likely replace Hjalmarsson in the lineup on Tuesday.

Niklas Hjalmarsson
Anisimov (lower-body) will be a game-time decision on Monday.

Anisimov suffered a lower-body injury in the Senators’ win over the Lightning on Saturday and will be a game-time decision against the Wild. Anisimov has one goal and eight shots while averaging 15:00 TOI/gm in four games with Ottawa.

Artem Anisimov
Anderson will start Monday afternoon vs. the Wild.

Anderson stopped 19 of 21 shots in the Senators’ surprising win over the Lightning on Saturday. It was Anderson’s first win of the season and earned him another start this afternoon. Anderson has gone 1-1-0 while stopping 45 of 51 shots (.882 SV%) in two starts in Ottawa this season. Today he will take on a Wild team that is 0-4-0 while averaging just 2.50 goals per game to start 2019-20.

Craig Anderson
The Islanders have recalled Oliver Wahlstrom from Bridgeport (AHL).

Wahlstrom was the No.11 pick in the 2018 draft and seems poised to make his NHL debut on Monday afternoon. The 19-year-old winger has likely been recalled to replace Jordan Eberle, who was hurt in Saturday’s win. Wahlstrom has one goal and two assists in four AHL games, giving him six points (3G / 3A) in nine career AHL games.

Oliver Wahlstrom
Eberle is questionable for Monday’s game with an undisclosed injury.

Eberle appeared to suffer a leg injury in Saturday’s win over the Panthers. Head coach Barry Trotz did not have an update on Eberle post-game but the Islanders recalled Oliver Wahlstrom from Bridgeport (AHL) on Monday, which suggests that Eberle won’t be available vs. the Blues.

Jordan Eberle
The Wild have recalled Gerry Mayhew from Iowa (AHL).

Mayhew has had a great start to the season with Iowa, scoring three goals and three assists (six points) in four AHL games. He was second on the team with 60 points (27G / 33A) in 71 games last year and could make his NHL debut on Monday with Mats Zuccarello questionable due to an undisclosed injury.
