Luukkonen is the Sabres top goaltending prospect and former second-round pick (2017). He missed the start of the 2019-20 campaign after hip surgery but is close to making his season debut. He was 38-11-2 with a 2.50 GAA and .920 SV% in 53 games with Sudbury (OHL) last year.

Borgstrom failed to record a point in four games this season and was a healthy scratch in each of the last two games. He heads to Springfield, where he started last season and had five goals and 17 assists (22 points) in 24 games.

Little has missed the first nine games of the year but will make his season debut on Sunday. Little, who had 41 points (15G / 26A) in 82 games a season ago, will centre the Jets’ second line with Kyle Connor and Nikolaj Ehlers on his wings.

Dach was the No.3 overall pick this summer after collecting 73 points (25G / 48A) in 62 games with the Saskatoon Blades (WHL). Dach failed to register a point in three games with Rockford (AHL) this year but is back to 100 percent health and ready to make his NHL debut vs. Washington. There is no word on who Dach will replace or what line he will skate on.

Montembeault allowed two goals on 28 shots in the Panthers loss to the Islanders last Saturday. It was a solid first start for Montembeault, who has stopped 45 of the 48 shots (.938 SV%) that he has faced so far this season. Montembeault should be left on the bench on Saturday though. The Predators are one of the best home teams in hockey and enter play leading the NHL in goal-scoring (4.29 GF/pg).

Rinne allowed two goals on 35 shots in the Predators win in Vegas on Tuesday. Rinne has opened the season on a four-game winning streak while posting 2.76 GAA and .908 SV% in the process. Tonight he faces a Panthers team on the tail-end of a back-to-back in a building where he is 22-9-1 in his last 32 starts.

Dumoulin was originally slated to play against the Golden Knights but will be replaced by Jack Johnson for reasons unknown. Dumoulin must have tweaked something in warmups and the Penguins' injury woes continue.

Quick allowed five goals on 36 shots in the Kings loss to the Golden Knights last Sunday. Through three starts, Quick has allowed 19 shots on 92 shots (.793 SV%). When your GAA and SV% are almost the same, you know you’re not playing well. Calgary is t-20th in goal-scoring right now but it’s very difficult to trust Quick in this spot given how poorly he has started the season.

Rittich allowed one goal on 28 shots in the Flames win over the Red Wings on Thursday. Rittich has been hot as of late, winning two in a row while stopping 48 of 50 shots (.960 SV%). The Kings offence has been solid early-on but they are still 2-5-0, so don’t hesitate to use Rittich on Saturday night.

Greiss allowed two goals on 23 shots in the Islanders win over the Blues on Monday. Greiss and Semyon Varlamov continue to split starts and tonight is Greiss’ turn in the rotation. He has started the season 2-1-0 with a 2.28 GAA and .925 SV% in his first three starts and should be a great option against a Blue Jackets team that is in the bottom-5 in scoring and on the tail-end of a back-to-back.

Kukan has been a healthy scratch for the last five games but will replace Ryan Murray (undisclosed) vs. the Islanders on Saturday. Kukan has just nine assists in 45 career NHL games.
