Kuznetsov will make his season debut on Tuesday.

After serving his three-game suspension, Kuznetsov will draw into the Capitals lineup vs. Dallas. Kuznetsov will start on the third line with Carl Hagelin and Richard Panik and will return to the top power-play unit. The 27-year-old had 21 goals and 51 assists (72 points0 in 76 games last season.

Evgeny Kuznetsov
Kinkaid will likely make his Canadiens debut on Wednesday.

After five years with the Devils, Kinkaid signed with the Canadiens this summer and will serve as Carey Price’s backup. The 30-year-old netminder has started 38 games in the last two seasons, going 41-28-9 with a 3.07 GAA and .902 SV% during that span. He’ll make his Montreal debut against a Sabres team that is 2-0-1 while averaging 4.33 goals for per game so far.

Keith Kinkaid
Rinne will start Tuesday vs. the Sharks.

Rinne stopped 22 of 24 shots in the Predators season-opening win over the Wild last Thursday. Juuse Saros lost his start vs. Detroit on Saturday, so the Predators will come back to Rinne tonight vs. the Sharks. The veteran did not face San Jose last year, but the Sharks are off to a terrible start and Rinne is an impressive 20-9-1 in his last 30 starts on home-ice.

Pekka Rinne
Koskinen will start Tuesday against the Islanders.

Despite Mike Smith playing outstanding in his first two games with the Oilers, they will turn to Koskinen tonight vs. the Islanders. Koskinen was 25-21-6 with a 2.93 GAA and .906 SV% last year, including 1-1-0 with a 3.48 GAA and .848 SV% in two games against the Islanders. If he doesn’t play well, this timeshare will shift even more in Smith’s favour.

Mikko Koskinen
Reimer is in the starter's crease at the Hurricanes morning skate.

Reimer stopped 32 of 34 shots in the Panthers win in Washington on Saturday. The Hurricanes goaltending rotation will continue with Reimer facing the team that traded him this offseason. Florida has opened the season at 1-1-0 while averaging 32.5 shots and 3.00 goals per game.

James Reimer
Bishop will start Tuesday in Washington.

Bishop surrendered three gaols on 30 shots in the Stars loss in St. Louis on Saturday. Anton Khudobin went Sunday in Detroit, so the Stars will go back in Bishop as they look to avoid an 0-4 start in Washington. Bishop was 1-0 vs. the Capitals and went 10-8-0 with a 2.09 GAA and .931 SV% on the road last season.

Ben Bishop
Bowey will make his season debut on Tuesday.

Bowey sat as a healthy scratch in the first two games but will replace Trevor Daley (lower-body) in the lineup on Tuesday. After being acquired from the Capitals last season, Bowey had four points (1G / 3A) in 17 games with the Red Wings.

Madison Bowey
Athanasiou (undisclosed) will make his season debut on Tuesday.

Despite being placed on IR on Monday night, Athanasiou was on the ice for the morning skate and will play Tuesday vs. the Ducks. Head coach Jeff Blashill confirmed that Athanasiou will play and is expected to centre the second line with Luke Glendening and Taro Hirose on his wings.

Andreas Athanasiou
Morrissey (precautionary reasons) will not play on Tuesday.

Morrissey missed Sunday’s game with an upper-body injury and will miss Tuesday’s game despite taking part in practice on Monday. The Jets are also without Dmitry Kulikov (personal), so Sami Niku and Nelson Nogier were recalled from Manitoba (AHL). Morrissey should be back in vs. the Wild on Thursday.

Josh Morrissey
Murray will start Tuesday vs. the Jets.

Murray allowed two goals on 30 shots in the Penguins 7-2 win over the Blue Jackets on Saturday. Murray has had a strong start to the 2019-20 season, stopping 66 of the 71 shots (.930 SV%) through two games. Without Evgeni Malkin and Nick Bjugstad, the Penguins are in tough but the Jets weak blueline make Murray a strong candidate to win on Tuesday.

Matt Murray
Varlamov was the first goalie off of the ice at the Islanders morning skate.

Varlamov stopped 26 of 28 shots in the Islanders 2-1 loss to the Capitals on Friday. Thomas Greiss had an outstanding outing vs. the Jets on Sunday, but it looks like Varlamov will go tonight vs. the Oilers. Everything is pointing towards this being a 50/50 split all season long. He faces an Edmonton team that is 2-0-0 while averaging 4.50 goals for per game so far.
