Silovs has been reassigned to Abbotsford (AHL).

Silovs was recalled under emergency conditions on Tuesday but will return to the Abbotsford Canucks (AHL) on Wednesday. The 23-year-old Silovs has split time between the NHL and AHL this season but has been more successful in Abbotsford, posting a 2.53 GAA and .906 SV% in eight games (5-3-0).

Blackwood will start vs. Winnipeg on Wednesday.

Colorado is coming off a disappointing 3-1 loss to the Minnesota Wild when Blackwood allowed three goals on 26 shots (.885 SV%) but will continue to roll with him between the pipes on Wednesday against the Winnipeg Jets. Blackwood has been outstanding since joining the Avalanche, posting a 1.97 GAA and .928 SV% in 14 games (9-4-1), but has struggled in his last two (0-2-0), allowing seven goals on 54 shots (.870 SV%). Colorado enters the action on Wednesday as a -116 home favorite against a Winnipeg team that defeated them 3-0 less than two weeks ago.

Mackenzie Blackwood
Doughty (ankle) was a full participant in the morning skate on Wednesday.

Doughty underwent ankle surgery after being injured in the preseason and has yet to play this season but appears to be nearing a return. He has been a staple on the Kings' blueline for over a decade. His impact has been missed despite the Kings allowing only 110 goals this season, the fewest in the NHL thus far. Over the last two seasons, Doughty averaged nearly 26:00 TOI/GP. In 82 games in 2023-24, he had 15 goals, 50 points, 44 PIMs, and a +15 plus/minus.

Drew Doughty
Norris will miss at least Ottawa's next three games due to an upper-body injury.

Norris exited Tuesday's 5-0 loss to the New York Rangers for precautionary reasons in the first period after only 3:47 time-on-ice due to an upper-body injury. It's unclear if this injury is related to the shoulder injury that kept him out of the lineup for most of the previous two seasons. The 25-year-old Norris is averaging 18:28 time-on-ice and has 27 points (17G / 10A) in 47 games this season.

Josh Norris
Broberg (lower-body) left practice on Wednesday and is being further evaluated.

Philip Broberg
Anaheim has acquired Justin Bailey from San Jose for Pavol Regenda.

Bailey played a career-high 59 games with the Sharks last season, scoring 14 points (5G / 9A), but has primarily been an AHL commodity. The 29-year-old forward scored 14 points (7G / 7A) in 33 games with the San Jose Barracuda (AHL) this season.

Justin Bailey
Spurgeon (lower-body) practiced on Wednesday and is a possibility to return vs. Utah on Thursday.

Spurgeon has missed nine straight with a lower-body injury but could return to the lineup on Thursday against the Utah Hockey Club. Before his injury, Spurgeon had four goals, 13 points and 59 SOG while averaging 20:43 TOI in 32 games played this season.

Jared Spurgeon
Kaprizov (lower-body) was a full participant in practice on Wednesday and has a chance to return vs. Utah on Thursday.

Updates surrounding Kaprizov's lower-body injury have been few and far between, but after missing 12 straight games, he could return to the lineup on Thursday against the Utah Hockey Club. Before his injury, the 27-year-old Kaprizov was amid an excellent campaign among the league leaders, scoring 50 points (23G / 27A) in 34 games.

Kirill Kaprizov
de Haan is expected to be a healthy scratch on Wednesday vs. Winnipeg.

Sam Malinski will draw into Colorado's lineup on Wednesday against the Winnipeg Jets, resulting in de Haan being a healthy scratch. The 33-year-old de Haan is averaging 15:03 time-on-ice and has seven points (0G / 7A) in 37 games this season.
