Phaneuf (upper-body) is being sent back to Los Angeles.

Phaneuf suffered an upper-body injury in Buffalo on Tuesday and was returned to Los Angeles to be re-evaluated. His immediate departure from the Kings road-trip suggests that this is likely more than a day-to-day issue, which is why they recalled Daniel Brickley.

Dion Phaneuf
Cullen (lower-body) will be a game-time decision on Wednesday.

Cullen has missed the last 11 games with a lower-body injury but could return Wednesday in Chicago. There was no indication on who Cullen would replace if he does play but it will likely be Derek Grant or Garrett Wilson.

Matt Cullen
Bishop will start Wednesday in Anaheim.

Bishop allowed three goals on 27 shots in the Stars loss in Vegas on Sunday. The loss snapped a brief two-game winning streak for Bishop, who has stopped 89 of 95 shots (.937 SV%) since returning from injury on December 1st. In his first start against Anaheim (in Dallas, Oct.25), Bishop stopped 23 of 25 shots in a 5-2 win.

Ben Bishop
Couturier (lower-body) is expected to return to the Flyers lineup on Wednesday.

Couturier has missed the last two games but is expected to play Wednesday in Calgary. Couturier has played 91% of his 5v5 ice-time with Claude Giroux this season but will start the night as the second-line centre with Michael Raffl and Jakub Voracek on his wings. Couturier has 10 goals and 10 assists (20 points) in 26 games this season.

Sean Couturier
Gibson will start Wednesday vs. the Stars.

Gibson allowed one goal on eight shots after replacing an injured Ryan Miller in the Ducks win over the Devils on Sunday. In his last nine appearances, Gibson has gone 6-2-0 with a 2.67 GAA and .919 SV%. Tonight he faces a Stars team that is great in Dallas but have struggled to a 6-8-2 record on the road so far this season.

John Gibson
Bobrovsky will start Thursday vs. the Kings.

Bobrovsky was pulled after he allowed three goals on 13 shots in the Blue Jackets loss to the Capitals on Saturday. Joonas Korpisalo started on Tuesday, so Bobrovsky will go tonight vs. the Kings. In four December starts, Bobrovsky has gone 1-3-0 with a 5.52 GAA and .819 SV% but draws a juicy matchup tonight. However, Bob did allow four goals on 29 shots in a 4-1 loss in his first start against Los Angeles.

Sergei Bobrovsky
Stolarz will start Wednesday in Calgary.

Stolarz allowed four goals on 25 shots in the Flyers loss in Winnipeg on Sunday. Stolarz has had a strange six games with the Flyers, allowing 2-4-2-4-2-4 goals. If this trend continues, Stolarz will allow just two goals tonight in Calgary but I wouldn’t hold your breath. The Flames have won nine of their last 12 games (9-2-1) while averaging 4.1 goals for per game.

Anthony Stolarz
DeSmith will start Wednesday in Chicago.

DeSmith allowed one goal on 26 shots in the Penguins shootout win over the Islanders on Monday. Even with Matt Murray being activated from IR, the Penguins will stick with DeSmith tonight in Chicago. DeSmith has won three of his last four starts with a 1.96 GAA and .933 SV% and is a must-start against a Chicago team that has lost eight in a row.

Casey DeSmith
Smith will start Wednesday vs. the Flyers.

Smith allowed two goals on 27 shots in the Flames win over the Predators on Saturday. Smith has won his last five starts while posting a 1.59 GAA, .941 SV% and one shutout. Smith has done a great job putting a terrible spot behind him and draws a strong matchup tonight. The Flyers are 12-13-3 on the season, including 7-6-1 on the road this year.
