Holtby stopped all 25 shots that he faced in the Capitals shutout win over the Devils last Friday. Holtby is riding a five-game winning streak, posting a 1.58 GAA, .935 SV% and one shutout. Tonight he faces the Penguins for the fourth time this season—he is 1-1-1 with a 3.35 GAA and .912 SV% in the first three.

Larkin has missed the last three games with a neck issue and will likely miss at least one more week. With Larkin out, Andreas Athanasiou will continue to centre the Red Wings top line.

Tonight he makes his third start against the Capitals—he is 2-0-0 with a 3.46 GAA and .897 SV% in the first two meetings of the season.

With Antti Niemi struggling mightily as of late, Lindgren comes up as a third goalie and could give Carey Price some rest down the stretch. The 25-year-old has gone 11-14-1 with a 2.94 GAA and 884 SV% in the AHL this season and is 7-8-2 with a 2.78 GAA and .914 SV% in 17 career NHL appearances.

With Lee Stempniak being sent back to Providence on Monday, the Bruins needed to add another forward to the roster before Tuesday’s game. Frederic will likely slide into the lineup as the third line centre with Charlie Coyle moving up to play the wing on the second line. Frederic has not recorded a point in 11 NHL games this season but has 20 (11G / 9A) in 45 AHL contests.

Despite going through a rough patch, Price has an outstanding matchup with the Red Wings in town—he stopped 28 of 29 shots in an 8-1 win in Detroit two weeks ago.



Koskinen allowed two goals on 37 shots in the Oilers win over the Canucks last Thursday. Koskinen missed Saturday’s game vs. the Maple Leafs but is expected to put his four-game winning streak on the line tonight vs. the Rangers—he has a 1.75 GAA, .951 SV% and one shutout over that span. The 30-year-old has gone 11-6-1 with a 2.39 GAA and .925 SV% on home-ice this year.

Andersson has been in the last two games but is expected to be scratched in favour of Connor Brickley on Monday. Andersson has just one assist in eight games since being recalled from the AHL.

DeAngelo went on an extended run without being scratched but will come out of the lineup on Monday. DeAngelo has picked up 11 assists in his last 13 games but is expected to be replaced by Frederik Claesson in Edmonton.
