The Red Wings are hopeful that Mike Green (virus) will make his season debut on Friday.

Green has missed the first nine games of the season, but could play Friday vs. the Jets. Green is the Red Wings best offensive-defenseman and is coming off of a 33-point (8G / 25A) season in just 66 games.

Mike Green
Gibson will start Tuesday in Chicago.

Gibson allowed two goals on 44 shots in the Ducks loss in Vegas on Saturday. Gibson has been outstanding to start the season, posting a 1.91 GAA, .949 SV% and one shutout in his first seven starts. Gibson will be busy again tonight. The Ducks have given up the most shots per game (37.9) and Chicago ranks fourth in shots per game (35.0) in the early portion of the season.

John Gibson
Price will start Tuesday vs. the Flames.

Price allowed four goals on 34 shots in the Canadiens loss in Ottawa. So far Price has won two of his first five starts while posting a 2.57 GAA and .904 SV%. Tonight he will make his third start on home-ice, where he’s stopped 49 of 54 shots (.907 SV%) this year. The Canadiens welcome in a Flames team that is fifth in the NHL in goals per game (3.75).

Carey Price
Bishop will start Tuesday vs. the Kings.

Bishop allowed two goals on 35 shots in the Stars loss to the Wild last Friday. After starting the season 2-0-0, Bishop has since lost three straight while allowing a combined 11 goals on 87 shots (.874 SV%). Tonight he faces a Kings team that has lost four games in a row while being outscored 21-to-5.

Ben Bishop
Jones will start Tuesday in Nashville.

Jones stopped 24 of 25 shots in the Sharks win over the Islanders on Saturday. Jones has won two in a row, stopping 48 of the last 50 shots (.960 SV%) that he faced. Jones has posted a 2.36 GAA and .907 SV% in his first six starts, but has a bad matchup in Nashville tonight.

Martin Jones
Quick was the first goalie off of the ice at the Kings morning skate.

Quick allowed four goals on 25 shots in the Kings loss to the Sabres on Saturday. Quick has been roughed up in his first two starts since returning from injury, allowing a combined 10 goals on 54 shots (.815 SV%). Things won’t get any easier tonight vs. the Stars, who are great on home-ice and rank fifth in the NHL in shots-per game (34.4).

Jonathan Quick
Talbot will start Tuesday vs. the Penguins.

Talbot allowed two goals on 27 shots in the Oilers loss to the Predators on Saturday. The loss snapped a three-game winning streak for Talbot, who will make his seventh start of the season tonight vs. the Penguins. The Penguins are tied for 11th in the NHL in scoring (3.33 GF/PG) in their first six games of the season.

Cam Talbot
Rittich will start Tuesday in Montreal.

Rittich stopped 44 of 45 shots in the Flames win in New York on Sunday. Rittich has played exceptionally well this season, stopping 76 of the 79 shots (.962 SV%) that he has faced in two starts and one relief appearance. Rittich is outplaying Mike Smith early-on, so he’ll make his second straight start tonight in Montreal—a matchup that offers some spot-start value.

David Rittich
Anderson will start Tuesday vs. the Bruins.

Anderson gave up three goals on 27 shots in the Senators win over the Canadiens on Saturday. All of a sudden Anderson has strung together three-straight wins while turning aside 97 of the 102 shots (.951 SV%) that he has faced. Anderson has been one of the biggest early-season surprises, but draws a terrible matchup with the Bruins in town on Tuesday.

Craig Anderson
Rask will start Tuesday in Ottawa.

Rask surrendered four goals on 28 shots in the Bruins loss in Calgary last Wednesday. Throughout his first four starts, Rask has posted a putrid 4.08 GAA and .875 SV%, but could get back on track tonight in Ottawa. Rask stopped 28 of 31 shots in a 6-3 win over the Senators on October 8th.

Tuukka Rask
Raanta will start Tuesday in Columbus.

Raanta allowed four goals on 31 shots in the Coyotes loss in Winnipeg on Saturday. Raanta has played very well in his first six starts of the season, posting a 2.32 GAA and .911 SV% but that has only translated into two wins. Goal support may be hard to come by for Raanta, but he should post some of the strongest splits in the league.
