Subban has been fighting an illness for a while now and hasn't missed a game so don't expect him to miss tonight's game vs. his former team.

Vatanen missed Monday's morning skate as he recovers from blocking a shot in Saturday's game vs. the Stars and will not play tonight vs. Montreal. With Vatanen out, Mirco Mueller will draw back into the lineup and Colton White was recalled to serve as the seventh defenseman.

Hischier required stitches in his knee midway through Saturday's game vs. the Stars and will not play tonight vs. Montreal. The good news is that the issue likely won't keep Hischier sidelined for very long but he'll miss at least one game. Jack Hughes moves up to the top-line and Joey Anderson makes his season debut with Hischier out.

Binnington allowed three goals one 31 shots in the Blues loss in Winnipeg on Saturday. Binnington has given up at least three goals in four straight starts, going 1-2-1 with a 4.02 GAA and .847 SV%. Tonight he faces a Hurricanes team that is on a four-game losing streak on the road while being outscored 18-to-11.

Markstrom surrendered three goals on 37 shots in the Canucks win over the Islanders on Saturday. Markstrom continues to play terrific hockey, winning five of his last six starts (5-1-0) while posting a 2.18 GAA and .931 SV%. Tonight he'll see a Bruins team that is 7-2-1 while averaging 3.70 goals per game in their last 10.

Vanecek, who is 13-9-1 with a 2.43 GAA and .908 SV% in the AHL this season, may serve as Braden Holtby's backup vs. the Kings. Ilya Samsonov was forced to leave the Capitals morning skate after taking an Alex Ovechkin shot up high and is going through concussion protocol. If he's not 100 percent, Vanecek will be the backup.

Samsonov took an Alex Ovechkin shot up-high and was forced to leave today's game-day skate. Braden Holtby was already in-line to get the start anyways but now Samsonov may not be available to backup. Vitek Vanecek will be recalled to backup just in case Samsonov isn't 100 percent.

Rask stopped 37 of 38 shots in the Bruins win in Winnipeg last Friday. Rask has not given up more than two goals in a game since Christmas, going 4-0-1 with a 1.78 GAA and .947 SV% in six outings. Tonight he faces a Canucks team on a six-game point streak (5-0-1) while averaging 3.67 goals per game.

Holtby allowed five goals on 24 shots in the Capitals loss to the Predators last Wednesday. Holtby has gone 1-3-0 with a 3.89 GAA and .858 SV% in his last five, so his 2020 struggles continue. Tonight he'll face a Kings team with struggles of their own, as they come into Tuesday having lost six of their last seven games (1-5-1) while scoring just 1.86 goals per game.

With Carey Price remaining in Montreal with the flu, Primeau joined the team in New Jersey and could make his third career start vs. the Devils. Primeau, who is from New Jersey, has gone 12-7-2 with a 2.70 GAA and .899 SV% in 23 AHL games this season.

Stalock allowed five goals on 25 shots in the Wild's loss to the Panthers on January 20th. Stalock has performed pretty well recently and has been good on home ice all year, going 7-2-1 with a 2.37 GAA, .914 SV% and one shutout in 12 games (10 starts). Tonight he faces a Chicago team that has won six of their last seven (6-1-0) while averaging 4.00 goals per game.

Quick gave up three goals on 28 shots in the Kings loss to the Ducks on Saturday. Quick has lost five in a row (0-4-1) while posting a 2.83 GAA and .903 SV%. Quick has had a tough time on the road this year, going 3-10-2 with a 3.54 GAA and .880 SV% in 15 games and is a risky option in Washington, where the Capitals are 4-3-0 while averaging 3.71 goals per game i their last seven.

Price will not be available for Tuesday's game in New Jersey due to the flu, so look for Charlie Lindgren or Cayden Primeau, who was recalled from Laval (AHL) to start for Montreal.

Vasilevskiy allowed three goals on 26 shots in the Lightning's win in Anaheim last Friday. Since returning from their bye week, Vasilevskiy has gone 2-0-1 while stopping 87 of the 95 shots (.916 SV%) that he's faced. Tonight he faces a Vegas team that has lost six of their last nine (3-5-1) while averaging 2.67 goals per game.

MacInnis, who had one assist in seven games with the Blue Jackets earlier this season, will replace Alexander Wennberg who is expected to miss at least three weeks with an upper-body injury. During his time in the AHL, the 23-year-old MacInnis has scored six goals with 16 assists (22 points) in 36 games.

Wennberg was hurt Sunday in Montreal and will miss at least three weeks. Ryan MacInnis was recalled from Cleveland (AHL) on Monday and will take Wennberg's spot in the lineup vs. the Panthers. Wennberg had just started to heat up over the last month and a half, picking up 10 points (3G / 7A) in his last 17 games.

Street missed the last eight games with an upper-body injury but is set to make his return in the AHL. The 32-year-old has 13 goals and 20 assists (33 points) in 33 AHL games this season.

Sami Vatanen missed Monday's practice and was listed as questionable for tonight's game but White's call-up suggests that Vatanen is out and White will be the seventh defenseman.
