Brodin left Tuesday’s game with an upper-body injury and did not return.

Brodin left midway through the second period following a collision with Vladimir Sobotka in Tuesday’s win over the Blues. Head coach Bruce Boudreau said that he expects to learn the severity of Brodin’s injury on Wednesday, so expect to get some form of timetable on his return later today.

Jonas Brodin
Rowney left Tuesday’s game with a lower-body injury and did not return.

Rowney recently returned to the Penguins’ lineup but left Tuesday’s game after playing just 3:01 TOI and did not return. The Penguins did not have an update on Rowney during his postgame interview, so consider him questionable for Friday’s game in Dallas.

Carter Rowney
Khunhackl left Tuesday’s game with a lower-body injury and did not return.

Kuhnhackl had been getting a shot on the Evgeni Malkin line with Patric Hornqvist out, but he left Tuesday’s game after playing just 1:48 TOI. Head coach Mike Sullivan did not have an update on Kuhnhackl post-game, so consider him questionable for Friday’s game in Dallas.

Tom Kuhnhackl
Vatrano left Tuesday’s game with a lower-body injury; doubtful to play on Wednesday.

Vatrano recorded one shot in 4:53 TOI before leaving last night’s game in Detroit. Vatrano is listed as doubtful with a lower-body injury, but there was a good chance he came out anyways with Brad Marchand returning from a five-game suspension.

Frank Vatrano
Gagner (concussion) is expected to return to the Canucks lineup on Tuesday.

Gagner missed Saturday’s game vs. the Lightning but is expected to be back in tonight in Florida. Gagner has seven goals and 15 assists (22 points) in 51 games this season. He is expected to skate with Markus Granlund and Thomas Vanek.

Sam Gagner
Markstrom will start Tuesday in Florida.

Markstrom allowed four goals on 28 shots in the Canucks loss to the Lightning on Saturday. Markstrom has won three of his last five starts while posting a 2.81 GAA and .902 SV%. Tonight he will face his former team in Florida—Markstrom has gone 6-6-3 with a 2.88 GAA and .899 SV% on the road this season.

Raanta (undisclosed) will return to the Coyotes crease on Tuesday.

Raanta was a late scratch last Thursday after getting in a car accident on his way to the rink. He ended up missing Saturday’s game as well, but is set to return to the lineup tonight in Winnipeg. Raanta is 2-1-2 while allowing two goals in each of his last five starts and posting a .933 SV% in the process.

Antti Raanta
Jones will start Tuesday in Colorado.

Jones stopped 28 of 29 shots in the Sharks win in Columbus last Friday. After starting three in a row in which he went 1-1-1 with a 1.96 GAA and .942 SV%, Jones got Sunday off. He will be back between the pipes tonight against an Avalanche team that lit him up in mod-January, but who could be without both Nathan MacKinnon and Mikko Rantanen tonight.

Martin Jones
Jones will likely start Tuesday in Colorado.

Jones stopped 28 of 29 shots in the Sharks win in Columbus last Friday. After starting three in a row in which he went 1-1-1 with a 1.96 GAA and .942 SV%, Jones got Sunday off. It looks like Jones will be back between the pipes tonight against an Avalanche team that lit him up in mod-January, but who could be without both Nathan MacKinnon and Mikko Rantanen tonight.

Martin Jones
Elliott will start Tuesday in Carolina.

Elliott allowed two goals on 21 shots in the Flyers win in Detroit on January 23rd. Elliott missed the last four games with a lower-body injury, but will return to the crease tonight in Carolina. The veteran netminder has gone 5-1-0 despite posting a 3.18 GAA and .888 SV% in his last six starts.

Brian Elliott
Holtby will start Tuesday in Columbus.

Holtby allowed six goals on 33 shots in the Capitals loss in Pittsburgh last Friday. Holtby has lost four of his last six starts (2-2-2) with a 3.29 GAA and .897 SV%. He will look to get back on track against the Blue Jackets—he stopped 32 of 35 shots in a 4-3 win in early-December.

Braden Holtby
Murray will start Tuesday vs. the Golden Knights.

Murray allowed four goals on 33 shots in the Penguins win over the Capitals last Friday. He was given Saturday off, so look for him to be back in tonight vs. the Golden Knights. Murray has gone 2-0-0 while stopping 69 of 75 shots (.920 SV%) since returning to the Penguins’ crease. He will go head-to-head with his former teammate Marc-Andre Fleury.

Matt Murray
Rantanen (undisclosed) will be a game-time decision on Tuesday.

Rantanen’s status for tonight’s game was iffy on Monday and remains in question as he’s officially listed as a game-time decision. The Avalanche are already without Nathan MacKinnon, so losing two-thirds of their top-line would be a tough pill to swallow. Monitor Rantanen’s status when the Avalanche hit the ice for warmups at 8:30 p.m. ET.

Mikko Rantanen
Dubnyk will start Tuesday in St. Louis.

Dubnyk allowed two goals on nine shot after replacing Alex Stalock in the Wild’s loss in Dallas on Saturday. Dubnyk has gone 7-8-0 with a 3.34 GAA and .898 SV% in 15 starts on the road—he is also 1-1-0 with a 3.48 GAA and .915 SV% in two starts vs. the Blues. The numbers suggest this isn’t a great matchup for Dubnyk, so look elsewhere for a safe starting option tonight.
