Aho was back at practice on Monday and may be cleared to play Tuesday after missing the last four games with a lower-body injury and concussion. Aho’s return will be huge for the Hurricanes as he comes in second on the team in points (37).

Rask allowed two goals on 23 shots in the Bruins win in Ottawa last Thursday. The win extended Rask’s winning streak to five games, posting a 1.77 GAA and .935 SV% in the process. With Anton Khudobin starting on Tuesday, Rask will start the next two games. He has gone 12-4-2 with a 1.99 GAA and .928 SV% at the TD Garden this year.
Khudobin allowed two goals on 24 shots in the Bruins win in Brooklyn on January 18th. Khudobin has gone 2-0-1 with a 1.97 GAA and .929 SV% in his last three starts. Tonight he makes his eighth appearance on home-ice—he is 4-1-2 with a 2.83 GAA and .904 SV% in the first seven.
With Brian Elliott dealing with a lower-body injury, Neuvirth becomes the Flyers temporary No.1 option but his absence from Monday’s practice clouds his status for Wednesday’s game in Washington.
Reimer was hurt in Dallas last Tuesday and it was already announced that he was going to miss multiple weeks, so moving him to IR simply opens up a roster spot for Samuel Montembeault to be recalled to serve as Harri Sateri’s backup moving forward.
Dumont played just 7:04 TOI in the Senators final game before the All-Star break and landed on IR with an undisclosed injury on Monday. His move means that Dumont won’t play on Tuesday but is eligible to play Thursday vs. the Ducks.
Stone missed the last three games before the All-Star break and will miss some more time as the Senators return to action on Tuesday. Stone’s move to IR is retroactive to one week ago, so he’s eligible to come off of IR whenever he is healthy, so technically he could play vs. the Hurricanes.
It looks like it’s the end of an era for one of the NHL’s All-Time greats. After picking up 43 goals and 69 assists (112 points) in 161 games over the last two seasons with the Panthers, he signed with the Flames this offseason. It was believed that Jagr still had something left in the tank but injuries limited to just 22 games through the Flames first 49 games and his NHL career will likely end on a disappointing note.
Richardson left last Thursday’s game vs. the Blue Jackets and it sounds like he’s going to miss some time. The Coyotes don’t play until Thursday so expect an update on Richardson’s status prior to their next contest. Regardless, Richardson doesn’t have a lot of fantasy appeal, picking up just nine points (3G / 6A) in 44 games this season.
Demers left last Thursday’s game vs. the Blue Jackets with an upper-body injury and is listed as day-to-day. Demers will be re-evaluated as the week progresses and is questionable for Thursday’s game vs. Dallas.
Goligoski missed the Coyotes’ final game before the All Star break with an illness but the Coyotes announced that he is “fine” and will play Thursday. Goligoski has had a solid offensive season, posting 22 points (5G / 17A) in 49 games but playing in Arizona has led to a minus-21 rating.
Trouba suffered the ankle injury late in overtime of the Jets’ shootout loss to the Ducks before the All Star break. Trouba and Josh Morrissey have been the Jets’ go-to shutdown pairing this season so the absence of Trouba will test their blueline. With Trouba out until mid-March, Tucker Poolman is expected to be back in the Jets’ lineup on Tuesday.
Gibson allowed three goals on 44 shots in the Ducks win over the Rangers on Tuesday. Gibson has won four of his last five starts while posting a 2.89 GAA and .905 SV%. Gibson has gone 11-9-2 with a 2.70 GAA and .922 SV% in 23 starts at the Honda Center this season but draws a rough matchup with the Jets in town.
Dubnyk allowed two goals on 23 shots in the Wild’s win over the Lightning on Saturday. Alex Stalock gave him the night off of Monday, but Dubnyk is expected to face the Penguins tonight. Dubnyk has won three of his last four starts while posting a 1.73 GAA and .940 SV%. In his first start vs. the Penguins, Dubnyk stopped 29 of 30 shots in a 2-1 win in late-October.
Rinne allowed three goals on 40 shots in the Predators win over the Panthers on last Saturday. Juuse Saros started on Tuesday so Rinne will get the Predators final game before the All-Star break. The Finnish netminder is riding a four-game winning streak with a 2.21 GAA and .927 SV% in the process. He is a must-start vs. the Devils without Ken Appleby in net and no Taylor Hall or Marcus Johansson.
