Murray was the first goalie off of the ice at the Penguins morning skate.

Murray stopped all six shots he faced in relief to earn an overtime win vs. the Bruins on January 7th. He has been either sidelined with a personal matter or serving as Casey DeSmith’s backup ever since, but will return to the cage tonight vs. the Sharks. It has been a difficult month for Murray, but he will try and return to hockey tonight on home ice, where he is 9-4-1 with a 2.65 GAA and .918 SV% this season.

Matt Murray
Dubinsky (face) will return to the Blue Jackets lineup on Tuesday.

Dubinsky skated on the third line in Monday’s practice and said he would “1000 percent” be back later this week, but he will return tonight vs. the Wild. Dubinsky has missed six weeks but will skate with Matt Calvert and Oliver Bjorkstrand tonight. He had three goals and nine assists (12 points) in 31 games before getting injured.

The Flyers have placed Brian Elliott (lower-body) on IR.

Elliott missed the Flyers final game before the All-Star break with a lower-body injury and lands on IR today with Alex Lyon being recalled to take his spot on the roster. Lyon will backup Michal Neuvirth while Elliott is out.

Brian Elliott
Halak will start Tuesday vs. the Panthers.

Halak allowed one goal on 39 shots in the Islanders 2-1 win in Vegas last Thursday. It was the first time in 15 games that Halak held the opponent under two goals and just the third time in 31 starts this season. It has been a rough year for Halak, who comes into Tuesday at 8-6-1 with a 3.27 GAA and .909 SV% on home-ice this season.

Jaroslav Halak
The Sharks have recalled Danny O’Regan from San Jose (AHL).

O’Regan, 24, has four assists in 10 games with the Sharks this season. He has spent the majority of the year in the AHL, where he has collected 22 points (7G / 15A) in 28 games with the Barracuda.

Daniel O'Regan
Kuemper is expected to start Tuesday in Dallas.

Kuemper allowed one goal on 31 shots in the Kings win in Calgary last Wednesday. With Jonathan Quick on IR, Kuemper will start again tonight with Quick likely being activated from IR for Thursday’s game. Kuemper has gone 3-0-2 with a 1.82 GAA and .944 SV% on the road so far this season, but the Stars are one of the best home teams in the NHL.

Darcy Kuemper
Hall (hand) will be back in the Devils lineup on Tuesday.

Hall missed the final three games before the All-Star break but was back on the ice for Monday’s practice and will play on Tuesday. Hall, who leads the Devils with 17 goals and 31 assists (48 points) in 43 games this season, will be back on the top line with Nico Hischier and Jesper Bratt.

Taylor Hall
Frolik (jaw) will return to the Flames lineup on Tuesday.

Frolik, who has been sidelined for 12 games with broken jaw, will play Tuesday vs. the Golden Knights. Frolik picked up 15 points (7G / 8A) in 37 games before getting hurt and will return to his normal spot on a like with Mikael Backlund and Matthew Tkachuk.

Michael Frolik
Smith will start Tuesday vs. the Golden Knights.

Smith allowed two goals on 27 shots in the Flames loss to the Kings last Wednesday. Smith lost his last three starts before the All-Star break despite stopping 90 of 95 shots (.947 SV%). Mike Smith
Hedman (lower-body) will travel on the Lightning’s four-game road-trip.

Hedman, who suffered a lower-body injury on January 11th, will travel with the team to Western Canada, which is a good sign that he’s getting closer to a return. Hedman is three weeks in to a three-to-six week timetable, so his return is expected to be on the horizon. The Lightning get back into action on Tuesday, so monitor his status during tomorrow’s morning skate and then as the week progresses.

Victor Hedman

Paajarvi was claimed off of waivers from St. Louis and will make his Ottawa debut in Carolina. Paajarvi had just four points (2G / 2A) in 44 games with the Blues before being waived. He skated with Derick Brassard and Ryan Dzingel during practice on Monday.

Varlamov was a full participant in Monday’s practice but won’t be available for Tuesday’s game. Varlamov will travel on their three-game road-trip and could play at some point over that stretch, but he will need to participate in at least one or two more practices before that becomes a reality.

Semyon Varlamov
Barrie (hand) is a possibility to play as soon as Tuesday.

Barrie has missed the last 13 games with a broken hand but was on the ice for Monday’s practice and is nearing a return. Barrie’s status for Tuesday’s game is uncertain but he has not officially been ruled out. Monitor his status during Tuesday’s morning skate.
