Sateri will start Thursday vs. the Capitals.

Sateri allowed six goals on 36 shots after replacing James Reimer in the Panthers loss in Dallas on Tuesday. With Reimer and Roberto Luongo both dealing with injuries, Sateri is expected to be the Panthers’ No.1 for the time being. Sateri is 0-2-0 with a 4.82 GAA and .861 SV% in one start and two relief appearances this season.

Condon is in the starter's crease at the morning skate.

Condon allowed three goals on 36 shots in the Senators loss in Minnesota on Monday. Despite the loss, it was good enough for Condon to get another start tonight vs. the Bruins. In his first start against the Bruins, Condon allowed five goals on 34 shots in a 5-0 loss in late-December. He catches a break with Brad Marchand suspended for Boston.

Howard is in the starter's crease at the morning skate.

Howard allowed three goals on 30 shots in the Red Wings loss to the Hurricanes on Saturday. Petr Mrazek started both ends of the Red Wings’ back-to-back on Monday/Tuesday but Howard will be back in net tonight vs. the Blackhawks. He has lost three in a row while posting a 3.81 GAA and .880 SV% and catches the Blackhawks on the tail-end of back-to-back.

McElhinney will start Thursday in Dallas.

McElhinney allowed four goals on 37 shots in the Maple Leafs loss in Columbus on December 20th. McElhinney will make his first start in 36 days after Frederik Andersen went on a 15-game run. McElhinney has gone 1-3-0 with a 3.36 GAA and .902 SV% on the road this season and runs into a hot Stars team in Dallas tonight.

The Devils have recalled Mackenzie Blackwood from Binghamton (AHL).

Blackwood, 21, was a second round pick (No.42 overall) in 2015 and has earned a call-up because Cory Schneider (lower-body) and Keith Kinkaid (groin) are both hurt. Blackwood, who has gone 5-12-0 with a 3.64 GAA and .877 SV% in 23 games with Binghamton, will backup Ken Appleby on Thursday.

Vasilevskiy will likely start Thursday in Philadelphia.

Vasilevskiy stopped all 40 shots that he faced in the Lightning’s win in Chicago on Monday. The win snapped a three-game losing streak for Vasilevskiy, who was given Tuesday off and will be back in net before the All-Star break. The 23-year-old has gone 12-6-1 with a 1.90 GAA and .944 SV% in 19 road starts this season.

Appleby will likely start Thursday vs. the Predators.

Appleby stopped all four shots that he faced after replacing Cory Schneider (lower-body) in the Devils loss in Boston on Tuesday. Appleby has stopped all 28 shots that he has faced in his two relief appearances and tonight he’ll make his first NHL start. The 22-year-old netminder was 5-8-1 with a 3.21 GAA and .888 SV% in 16 games with Binghamton (AHL) when he was called up.

The Panthers recalled Samuel Montembeault from Springfield (AHL).

Montembeault, 21, started the season as Springfield’s backup but tonight he is expected to be the Panthers’ backup with Roberto Luongo and James Reimer out with injuries. Montembeault has gone 12-15-1 with a 3.00 GAA and .904 SV% in 30 games with the Thunderbirds and he is expected to backup Harri Sateri vs. the Capitals.

Hellebuyck will start Thursday in Anaheim.

Hellebuyck allowed four goals on 33 shots in the Jets in the Jets win in San Jose on Tuesday. Hellebuyck has won his last three starts while stopping 88 of the last 93 shots (.946 SV%) that he has faced. In his first start against the Ducks, Hellebuyck stopped 30 of 31 shots in a 4-1 win in late-November.

Andersen will start Tuesday in Chicago.

Andersen allowed three goals on 26 shots in the Maple Leafs loss to the Avalanche on Monday. The Maple Leafs have struggled recently and Andersen comes into Wednesday at 3-3-3 with a 2.63 GAA and .919 SV% on the road this season. Andersen stopped 18 of 21 shots in a 4-3 OT win in his first start vs. the Blackhawks.

Bishop will start Thursday vs. the Maple Leafs.

Bishop turned aside 33 of 34 shots in the Stars win over the Panthers on Tuesday. Bishop has gone 4-1-1 with a 1.82 GAA and .938 SV% in his last six starts. Tonight he will face the Maple Leafs who are on the tail-end of a back-to-back. Bishop has gone 16-5-1 with a 1.97 GAA and .934 SV% in 22 starts on home-ice this season.

Thornton will miss “several weeks” with a right MCL injury.

Thornton suffered the injury during overtime on Tuesday and will miss “several weeks.” Thornton recently had left knee surgery, so luckily he avoided an injury to that same knee but it sounds like he will be out until at least mid-February.
