The Sabres have reassigned Linus Ullmark to Rochester (AHL).

Ullmark was outstanding in his season debut on Thursday, turning away 44 of 45 shots in the Sabres win over the Blue Jackets. Ullmark is viewed as the Sabres goalie of the future but will go back to Rochester during the Sabres’ bye week and could return after the break. Ullmark could see an extended run with the Sabres if they elect to trade Robin Lehner like they are rumoured to.

The Sabres have reassigned Brendan Guhle to Rochester (AHL).

Guhle had one assist while averaging 16:58 TOI/GM in two games during his call-up. He is returning to the AHL simply for the Sabres bye week but he appeared to make a case to return to the big club after their break, especially with Zach Bogosian out for at least one month.
