Bishop allowed three goals on 32 shots in the Stars win over the Predators last Saturday. After a tough stretch, Bishop has won his last two starts while stopping 53 of 56 shots (.946 SV%). Bishop has been below average on the road, going 4-6-1 with a 3.40 GAA an 889 SV% in 12 starts this season.

Barrie will undergo surgery on his broken hand and will miss 4-6 weeks.

Barrie broke his hand before the Christmas break and after being evaluated the Avalanche decided it’s best that he will undergo surgery. Barrie will be sidelined for at least one month, so don’t expect to see him until late-January/early-February.

Phaneuf (personal) will be back in the Senators lineup on Wednesday.

Phaneuf missed the last two games to be with his wife for their birth of their daughter. After a few days off over the Christmas break, Phaneuf is ready to get back in the lineup tonight in Boston. Phaneuf has 11 points (3G / 8A) in 32 games this season.

Ryan (finger) will be back in the Senators lineup on Wednesday.

Ryan missed the Senators last game before the Christmas break but will be back in tonight in Boston. Ryan has three goals and one assist in his last four games as he continues to get back on track after a sluggish start to 2017-18.

Anderson will start Wednesday in Boston.

Anderson allowed three goals on 38 shots in the Senators loss in Tampa Bay last Thursday. Mike Condon started on Saturday with Anderson out with an illness, but after the Christmas break he is ready to start tonight in Boston. The veteran comes into tonight at 3-5-1 with a 2.96 GAA and .902 SV% on the road this season.

Paul Maurice said that Byfuglien is “progressing well” and is on track to be back in early-January. Byfuglien missed the Jets morning skate but was on the ice prior to the skate so he should join his teammates in the coming days/weeks.

Varlamov will start Wednesday vs. the Coyotes.

Varlamov allowed two goals on 34 shots in Colorado’s win in Arizona last Saturday. Varlamov has won four of his last six starts while posting a 2.33 GAA and .928 SV%. He makes for a strong start again tonight with the Coyotes in town at 4-13-4 in 21 road games this season.

Parise (back) has been assigned to Iowa (AHL) on a conditioning stint.

Parise has not played this season as he works his way back from an back issue. Parise will make his season debut with Iowa tomorrow. This is a huge step in the veterans eventual return to the Minnesota lineup but he remains without a firm timetable.

Hellebuyck will start Wednesday vs. the Oilers.

Hellebuyck allowed one goal on 33 shots in the Jets loss in Boston last Thursday. Hellebuyck got Saturday off, so he’ll be back in net tonight vs. the Oilers. Hellebuyck has gone 5-2-2 with a 2.64 GAA and .907 SV% and was victorious in his only start vs. Edmonton this season.

Werenski (lower-body) will not play Wednesday in Pittsburgh.

Despite a few days of over the Christmas break, Werenski still isn’t ready to return to the Blue Jackets blueline. Werenski missed the morning skate and will miss his fourth straight game tonight Pittsburgh. Werenski remains day-to-day and is questionable or Friday’s game in Ottawa.

Bobrovsky will start Wednesday in Pittsburgh.

Bobrovsky allowed one goal on 31 shots in the Blue Jackets win over the Flyers last Saturday. The win snapped a three-game losing streak for Bobrovsky, who has gone 4-5-1 with a 3.27 GAA and .897 SV% in his last 10 starts. One of those losses came in Pittsburgh, where he starts again tonight—he stopped 39 of 41 shots in the shootout defeat.

Dubnyk (lower-body) will return as the Wild's backup on Wednesday.

Dubnyk has missed the last six games with a lower-body injury but will return as Alex Stalock's backup tonight vs. the Stars. This will allow Dubnyk to get an extra couple days rest and start one of their back-to-back games on Friday/Saturday.
