Smith will start Saturday vs. the Oilers.

Smith stopped all 28 shots that he faced in the Flames shutout win over the Coyotes on Thursday. You had to expect a great performance out of the Smith against the team he spent over half a decade with and he delivered with his 12th win and second shutout on the young campaign. Tonight will be his second battle of Alberta and he was great in the first meeting, stopping 42 of 44 shots in a 3-0 shutout loss on opening night.

Mike Smith
Elliott leads the Flyers onto the ice for warmups.

Elliott surrendered five goals on 52 shots in the Flyers’ overtime loss in Pittsburgh on Monday. With Michal Neuvirth starting on Tuesday, there’s no surprise to see Elliott back between the pipes today vs. the Bruins. Elliott and the Flyers are on a lengthy losing streak and the veteran comes in at 3-2-3 with a 2.95 GAA and .901 SV% on home ice.

Brian Elliott
Mrazek will start Saturday in Montreal.

Mrazek allowed three goals on 24 shots before departing the Red Wings OT loss to the Devils with an injury. The injury was not serious as Mrazek was available to backup for the last two games and will start tonight in Montreal. Mrazek has not started a lot this season, but comes in at 2-3-0 with a 2.78 GAA and .913 SV% on the road.

Petr Mrazek
Bishop will start Saturday vs. the Blackhawks.

Bishop allowed three goals on 22 shots in the Stars win in Chicago on Thursday. Tonight the Stars will host that same Blackhawks team as Bishop looks to extend his winning streak to four games—he has allowed seven goals on 94 shots (.926 SV%) during his three-game stretch. Bishop is an impressive 8-1-0 with a 1.61 GAA and .942 SV% on home ice this season.

Ben Bishop
Wedgewood will start Saturday vs. the Devils.

Wedgewood made 41 saves on 44 shots in the Coyotes loss in Calgary on Thursday. Since Antti Raanta got hurt, Wedgewood has gone 1-2-1 with a 3.00 GAA and .899 SV% in four starts and a relief appearance. He will take on a new-look Devils team that comes in with wins in three of their last four.

Scott Wedgewood
The Blue Jackets have activated Matt Calvert (upper-body) from IR.

Calvert has been sidelined by an upper-body injury since November 4th, but could return to the lineup tonight in Washington. To make room for Calvert, the Blue Jackets have moved Ryan Murray (upper-body) on IR. Calvert has three goals and eight assists (eight points) in 14 games this season.

Matt Calvert
Allen will likely start Saturday in Minnesota.

Allen allowed one goal on seven shots after replacing Carter Hutton in last night’s loss to the Kings. With Hutton struggling last night, there should be no doubt that Allen starts this afternoon in Minnesota. In his first start vs. the Wild, Allen allowed three goals on 25 shots in a 6-2 win last Saturday.

Jake Allen
Dubnyk is projected to start Saturday vs. the Blues.

Dubnyk allowed two goals on 31 shots in the Wild’s win over the Golden Knights on Thursday. Dubnyk wrapped up the month of November at 7-4-1 with a 2.67 GAA, .916 SV% and three shutouts. He will look for revenge against the Blues this afternoon, after allowing six goals on 40 shots in a 6-3 loss in St. Louis last Saturday.

Devan Dubnyk
Weber (lower-body) will be a game-time decision on Saturday.

Weber has missed the last six games with a lower-body injury, but took part in today’s morning skate and it looks like he will play tonight vs. the Red Wings. Weber skated with Jordie Benn this morning and will likely take his spot back on the top power play unit as well. Monitor his status during pre-game warmups, but it looks like the hulking defenseman will play tonight. He has 13 points (4G / 9A) in 20 games this season.
