Klefbom has apparently been playing a little banged up and with Andrej Sekera’s return on the horizon, Klefbom will get a chance to take some time off. His move to IR means he will miss at least the next two games as the Oilers head into the Christmas break.

The Canucks got great news on Monday after a CT scan revealed no structural damage on Boeser’s foot. Boeser is dealing with a bone bruise and is “more day-to-day than week-to-week” according GM Jim Benning. Boeser suffered the injury while blocking a Mark Giordano shot on Sunday and is not expected to play Tuesday vs. the Canadiens.
Seidenberg has been a healthy scratch for the last three games but tonight he will replace Calvin de Haan (upper-body) in the lineup tonight vs. the Red Wings. Seidenberg has just three assists in 12 games this season.
Greiss allowed three goals on 29 shots in the Islanders win over the Kings on Saturday. The win was his first since November 24th and ninth of the season. Tonight he faces the Red Wings at Barclays Center where he has gone 5-0-2 with a 3.31 GAA and .893 SV% this season.
Motte, 22, has three goals and one assist in 19 games with the Blue Jackets this season. He returns to Cleveland where he has seven points (5G / 2A) in seven AHL contests.
de Haan was set to miss tonight’s game vs. the Red Wings and it sounds like he will be sidelined for an extended period of time. There are reports that de Haan could miss the rest of the regular season, but the Islanders have yet to put an official timetable on de Haan’s return.
