Scherbak is expected to miss six weeks after undergoing surgery on his right knee on Monday.

Scherbak suffered the injury last Thursday and underwent surgery today. Scherbak is expected to be sidelined until mid-December and will likely return to the ice with Laval (AHL) but could work his way back to the NHL.

Nikita Scherbak
Andersen will start Monday in San Jose.

Andersen allowed four goals on 30 shots in the Maple Leafs’ loss to Philadelphia on Saturday. Andersen has hit the skids recently, losing three of his last four starts while allowing a combined 17 goals on 140 shots (.879 SV%). Tonight he will take on a Sharks team that has won four of their last six and come in at 5-5-0.

Frederik Andersen
The Hurricanes have assigned Janne Kuokkanen to Charlotte (AHL).

Kuokkanen, 19, got into the lineup on Saturday but didn’t record a point in any of his four games with the Hurricanes. The 2016 second round pick (No.43 overall) will make his AHL debut this week; he turned pro this season after collecting 62 points (26G / 36A) in 60 games with London (OHL) last year.

Janne Kuokkanen
Niederreiter (ankle) will be a game-time decision on Tuesday.

Niederreiter has missed the last six games with a high-ankle sprain, but he is targeting a return to the lineup on Tuesday. Niederreiter has no points in three games this season, but he should be added from the waiver wire if he was dropped during his injury.

The Canucks have recalled Anton Rodin from Utica (AHL).

Rodin, 26, has appeared in three games with Utica this season, recording two assists. Rodin has been limited over the past few seasons by knee injuries, but he looks healthy again. The Swedish winger has only appeared in three NHL games and his last full season was in Sweden—where he had 16 goals and 21 assists (37 points) in 33 games with Brynas IF Gavle.

Anton Rodin
The Golden Knights have assigned Griffin Reinhart to Chicago (AHL).

Reinhart did not appear in a game after being taken by the Golden Knights this summer, but has been with Chicago on a conditioning stint. After clearing waivers over the weekend, Reinhart has officially been assigned to the Wolves.

Griffin Reinhart
Wedgewood will make his Coyotes debut on Monday.

Wedgewood served as a backup on Saturday after being acquired from New Jersey and tonight he will make his debut in Philadelphia. The 25-year-old spent most of last season in Albany (AHL) where he was 5-3-0 with a 2.18 GAA and .912 SV%. The former third round pick will be their starter until Antti Raanta returns from injury.

Scott Wedgewood
Howard is expected to start Tuesday vs. Arizona.

Howard stopped 44 of 46 shots in the Red Wings’ shootout win over the Panthers on Saturday. The win snapped a five-game losing streak for Howard, who will make his 10th start of the season tonight vs. the Coyotes. Arizona won their first game last night, but Howie already has a ‘W’ against them this season and comes in ranking ninth in the NHL in SV% (.929).

Jimmy Howard
Theodore is expected to be recalled from Chicago (AHL) on Monday.

Theodore was only sent to the AHL to start the season because the Golden Knights had a ton of defensemen and he was one of the only players that was waiver exempt. Vegas has been working to clear a spot to bring him up and it looks like the time has finally arrived. Theodore has scored five goals with six assists (11 points) in eight AHL games and just might be the Golden Knights’ best defenseman.

Shea Theodore
Montoya will get the nod for Montreal on Monday.

Montoya surrendered five goals on 42 shots in the Canadiens loss in Los Angeles on October 18th. Carey Price started the last four games, but Montoya will go tonight in Ottawa. So far this season he has allowed a combined seven goals on 51 shots (.863 SV%), so look elsewhere if you feel the need to spot-start someone on Monday.

Al Montoya
Turris (illness) will not play on Monday; Senators are hopeful he’ll return on Thursday.

Turris will miss his third straight game with a viral infection and forces the Senators to go with 11 forward and seven defensemen against the Canadiens. Despite not being available tonight, Turris is reportedly doing better and head coach Guy Boucher hopes he’s available for Thursday’s meeting with the Red Wings.

Kyle Turris
Allen will get the start Monday vs. the Kings.

Allen allowed one goal on 37 shots in the Blues win over the Blue Jackets on Saturday. Allen has found his groove, winning three of four starts while posting a 1.96 GAA and .926 SV%. Tonight he will face the red-hot Kings, who come in at 9-1-1, but Allen has yet to lose on home-ice (4-0-0) while posting a 1.75 GAA and .944 SV%.

Jake Allen
Montoya is in the starter's crease at the Canadiens morning skate.

Garrison has officially joined Chicago (AHL).

Garrison cleared waivers over the weekend after picking up just one assist in four games with the Golden Knights. He will report to Chicago and Shea Theodore is expected to be recalled on Monday. Garrison has fallen on hard times after points three-straight 30-plus point (full) seasons from 2012-to-2015.

Jason Garrison
Gostisbehere is day-to-day with an upper-body injury.

Gostisbehere had to leave Saturday’s game in Toronto with a potential head injury after being blasted from behind by Leo Komarov. With Gostisbehere out, Robert Hagg is skating on the top-pairing with Ivan Provorov and Provorov is on the top power-play unit. Either Samue Morin or Mark Alt will draw into the lineup to game Gostisbehere’s spot.

Shayne Gostisbehere
Morin (undisclosed) is questionable for Monday’s game vs. Arizona.

Morin, 22, was recalled from Lehigh Valley (AHL) and was expected to make his season debut on Monday with Shayne Gostisbehere out, but that may not be the case now. Morin is reportedly dealing with a “nagging” injury and may not be available vs. the Coyotes. If Morin can’t go, look for Mark Alt to be recalled from the AHL.

Samuel Morin
Elliott will start Monday vs. the Coyotes.

Elliott stopped 28 of the 30 shots that he faced in the Flyers’ 4-2 win over the Maple Leafs on Saturday. Elliott’s first seven starts have brought mixed results, but there has been more good than bad so far. Overall, he is 5-2-0 with a 3.14 GAA and .885 SV% to start his Flyers career and should make for a good start against the winless Coyotes tonight.
