Tonight he will take on a Sharks team that has won four of their last six and come in at 5-5-0.
Kuokkanen, 19, got into the lineup on Saturday but didn’t record a point in any of his four games with the Hurricanes. Ekman-Larsson left Saturday’s game in New Jersey early, but is fine and will play tonight in Philadelphia. O.E.L was hurt after absorbing a high-hit but there are no lingering effects. The 26-year-old has recorded six points (1G / 5A) in 11 games this season.
Palmieri has missed the last two games with a left foot injury and will not travel on the Devils’ Western Canada trip. With Palmieri out, Drew Stafford will remain on the top-line and Jesper Bratt will stay in the top-6.
Niederreiter has missed the last six games with a high-ankle sprain, but he is targeting a return to the lineup on Tuesday. Niederreiter has no points in three games this season, but he should be added from the waiver wire if he was dropped during his injury.
Rodin, 26, has appeared in three games with Utica this season, recording two assists. Rodin has been limited over the past few seasons by knee injuries, but he looks healthy again. The Swedish winger has only appeared in three NHL games and his last full season was in Sweden—where he had 16 goals and 21 assists (37 points) in 33 games with Brynas IF Gavle.
Reinhart did not appear in a game after being taken by the Golden Knights this summer, but has been with Chicago on a conditioning stint. After clearing waivers over the weekend, Reinhart has officially been assigned to the Wolves.
Wedgewood served as a backup on Saturday after being acquired from New Jersey and tonight he will make his debut in Philadelphia. The 25-year-old spent most of last season in Albany (AHL) where he was 5-3-0 with a 2.18 GAA and .912 SV%. The former third round pick will be their starter until Antti Raanta returns from injury.
Howard stopped 44 of 46 shots in the Red Wings’ shootout win over the Panthers on Saturday. The win snapped a five-game losing streak for Howard, who will make his 10th start of the season tonight vs. the Coyotes. Arizona won their first game last night, but Howie already has a ‘W’ against them this season and comes in ranking ninth in the NHL in SV% (.929).
Theodore was only sent to the AHL to start the season because the Golden Knights had a ton of defensemen and he was one of the only players that was waiver exempt. Vegas has been working to clear a spot to bring him up and it looks like the time has finally arrived. Theodore has scored five goals with six assists (11 points) in eight AHL games and just might be the Golden Knights’ best defenseman.
Montoya surrendered five goals on 42 shots in the Canadiens loss in Los Angeles on October 18th. Carey Price started the last four games, but Montoya will go tonight in Ottawa. So far this season he has allowed a combined seven goals on 51 shots (.863 SV%), so look elsewhere if you feel the need to spot-start someone on Monday.
Turris will miss his third straight game with a viral infection and forces the Senators to go with 11 forward and seven defensemen against the Canadiens. Despite not being available tonight, Turris is reportedly doing better and head coach Guy Boucher hopes he’s available for Thursday’s meeting with the Red Wings.

Gostisbehere had to leave Saturday’s game in Toronto with a potential head injury after being blasted from behind by Leo Komarov. With Gostisbehere out, Robert Hagg is skating on the top-pairing with Ivan Provorov and Provorov is on the top power-play unit. Either Samue Morin or Mark Alt will draw into the lineup to game Gostisbehere’s spot.
Morin, 22, was recalled from Lehigh Valley (AHL) and was expected to make his season debut on Monday with Shayne Gostisbehere out, but that may not be the case now. Morin is reportedly dealing with a “nagging” injury and may not be available vs. the Coyotes. If Morin can’t go, look for Mark Alt to be recalled from the AHL.
Elliott stopped 28 of the 30 shots that he faced in the Flyers’ 4-2 win over the Maple Leafs on Saturday. Elliott’s first seven starts have brought mixed results, but there has been more good than bad so far.
