Varlamov will start Friday in Vegas.

Varlamov allowed three goals on 37 shots in Colorado’s win over the Stars on Tuesday. Varlamov has gone 4-2-0 with a 2.34 GAA, .929 SV% and one shutout through his first six starts of 2017-18. Tonight he will take on a Vegas team that has surprisingly started the season at 7-1-0 while averaging 3.38 goals for per game.

Semyon Varlamov
Nilsson will start Thursday vs. the Capitals.

Nilsson stopped all 29 shots the he faced in the Canucks shutout win in Minnesota on Tuesday. Nilsson has two shutouts in his three starts with one stinker in between. Nilsson has impressed early on, but has a tough matchup tonight vs. the visiting Capitals.

Anders Nilsson
Price will start Thursday vs. the Kings.

Price stopped 26 of 27 shots in the Canadiens win over the Panthers on Tuesday. It was the first Price-like performance since opening night and gives Price his second with in eight tries. The Canadiens have been getting unlucky to kick-off the season, but Price needs to be better and he will be in tough tonight vs. the Kings.

Carey Price
Kinkaid will start Friday vs. the Senators.

Kinkaid allowed three goals on 33 shots in the Devils’ 3-0 loss to the Sharks last Friday. With Cory Schneider a little banged up, Kinkaid will start the front-end of their back-to-back. In three appearances this season, Kinkaid has stopped 68 of 73 shots (.932 SV%), but tonight he faces the NHL’s No.5 offence (3.60 GF/PG).

Keith Kinkaid
Crawford will start Friday vs. the Predators.

Crawford allowed four goals on 33 shots in the Blackhawks loss in Vegas on Tuesday. Crawford has now lost three of his last five starts while posting a 2.81 GAA and .915 SV%. Tonight he faces the Predators for the second time this season—he stopped 37 of 38 shots in a 2-1 overtime win on October 14th.

Corey Crawford
Bieksa will be out for an extended period of time with a hand injury.

There is no word when Bieksa suffered the injury, but it could have been on the “superman punch” heard around the hockey world on Tuesday. He logged 18:20 TOI in Philadelphia, so the hand injury was likely discovered post-game. The injuries just don’t seem to stop coming for the Ducks, who were just starting to get healthy on the back-end.

Kevin Bieksa
Miller (knee) will be a game-time decision on Thursday.

Miller missed last Saturday’s game vs. Buffalo, but it looks like he will be back in tonight vs. the Sharks. Miller has no points, four shots, 21 hits and 11 blocked shots on the young season.

Kevan Miller
Trotman will make his Penguins debut on Thursday.

Trotman has two assists in four games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (AHL) so far this season and 12 points (3G / 9A) in 67 career NHL games with the Bruins. The 27-year-old blueliner will step in for Justin Schultz, who is out with a concussion.

Zach Trotman
Darling is expected to start Thursday in Toronto.

Darling allowed three goals on 27 shots in the Hurricanes’ 5-1 loss to the Lightning on Tuesday. It wasn’t as bad as the stat line suggests, but it was Darling’s fourth loss in six games—he has a 2.64 GAA and .896 SV% so far. It doesn’t get any easier for the first-year starter as he faces the highest scoring team on the road tonight.

Scott Darling
Turris will miss the next two games with a viral infection.

Turris was already listed as doubtful for Thursday’s game, but head coach Guy Boucher announced that he will miss Friday’s game in New Jersey as well. With Turris out, Filip Chlapik will draw into the Senators lineup.

Kyle Turris
Jones gets the nod Thursday in Boston.

Jones allowed one goal on 34 shots in the Sharks’ win in New York on Monday. Jones is riding a four-game winning streak, while posting an impressive 1.25 GAA, .957 SV% and one shutout. Tonight he takes on the NHL’s sixth best offence (3.43 GF/PG) in Boston, but has a good chance at victory with Anton Khudobin across the ice from him.

Martin Jones
Perlini (upper-body) will be a game-time decision on Thursday.

Perlini has missed the last six games with an upper-body injury that he suffered in the third game of the season in Vegas. He was removed from IR, which is a positive sign that he will play tonight, but the Coyotes have officially listed him as a game-time decision. He has just one assist in three games and has averaged just 9:15 TOI/GM.

Brendan Perlini
van Riemsdyk (lower-body) will be a game-time decision on Thursday.

van Riemsdyk fell awkwardly during Monday’s win over the Kings, missed Wednesday’s practice, but was on the ice for the morning skate and is officially listed as a game-time decision for tonight’s meeting with Carolina. van Riemsdyk will be replaced by Josh Leivo if he is unable to play.

James van Riemsdyk
Petrovic will be back in the Panthers’ lineup on Thursday.

Petrovic has been a healthy scratch for the last two games, but will replace MacKenzie Weegar in the lineup tonight vs. the Ducks. Petrovic has just one assist in six games, but has collected 14 hits (2.33 hits/GP).
