Price surrendered six goals on 45 shots in the Canadiens loss in Anaheim last Friday. It has been an absolutely disastrous start to the season for Price, who owns a 3.94 GAA and .881 SV% through seven starts. Obviously those are the worst numbers of Price’s career, but it can’t all be pinned on him. The Canadiens are in disarray right now and buying-low on the former Vezina winner might not be a bad idea.
Seidenberg played 14:12 TOI on Saturday, but will be replaced by Scott Mayfield in the lineup tonight vs. Arizona. Seidenberg has appeared in just tow games so far this season, recorded one shot, three hits and three blocked shots.
Pulock got into the lineup for the last two games, but averaged just 9:03 TOI per game. He did pick up one assist, but will be replaced by Nikolay Kulemin tonight as the Islanders go back to 12 forwards and six defensemen.
Mayfield missed Saturday’s game vs. San Jose, but will replace Dennis Seidenberg in the lineup tonight. Mayfield is averaging just 16:32 TOI/GM on the Islanders blueline and has picked up just one assist in six games, so look elsewhere in season-long leagues and daily contests.
Kulemin was held out of the lineup for the last two games, but will draw back in tonight vs. the Coyotes. The fourth-line winger has recorded just one assist in six games this season and should not be considered as a fantasy option.
Darling allowed four goals on 26 shots in the Hurricanes’ loss in Dallas on Saturday. Darling’s career in Carolina has not gotten off to a great start, as he has won just two of five starts while posting a 2.57 GAA and .898 SV%. Things don’t get any easier with the dangerous Tampa Bay Lightning in town tonight.
Kloos, 23, was an undrafted free agent who turned pro last season after finishing up his senior year at the University of Minnesota. Since joining Iowa, Kloos has collected two goals and two assists (four points) in 15 AHL games and could make his NHL debut on Tuesday.
Kunin has appeared in the last three games with the Wild, but was likely sent down for salary cap purposes. Kunin recorded two assists in their most recent game in Calgary and is expected to be back in the lineup tonight vs. the Canucks.
Guillain-Barré syndrome is a disorder in which the body’s immune system attacks the peripheral nervous system. Thankfully, Eaves is reportedly resting comfortably at a hospital in Newport Beach. There’s no word on how long this diagnosis is expected to sideline the veteran winger.
Crawford allowed two goals on 29 shots in the Blackhawks’ win in Arizona on Saturday. Crawford has been excellent to start the season, winning five of seven starts while posting a 1.86 GAA and .945 SV%. He is already a must-start regardless of matchup, but he might be the best option tonight with both of the Golden Knights’ top goalies out with injuries.
Parise reportedly exhausted all the options to overcome a debilitating back injury, so he will undergo back surgery on Tuesday and is expected to be sidelined until late-December/early-January. Parise has been dealing with a herniated disk since 2015-16 and missed the entire 2016 playoffs as a result. Parise didn’t miss a game because of his back last year but the issue flared up two weeks before training camp. This is a huge blow for the Wild in the short-term, but getting Parise back to full health for the second half will be a huge boost.
Sedlak suffered an ankle injury in Monday’s practice and will be sidelined until early/mid-December. With Sedlak out, Zac Dalpe will likely shift to centre on the Blue Jackets’ fourth line.
On Monday the Golden Knights placed Subban on IR and announced that he is expected to miss one month. With Subban out for four weeks and Marc-Andre Fleury (concussion) out at least one week, the Golden Knights will turn to Oscar Dansk and Maxime Lagace as their goaltending duo.
Elliott stopped 23 of 24 shots in the Flyers’ win over Edmonton on Saturday. Based on Monday’s practice it looks like the Flyers will come back to the 32-year-old netminder vs. the Ducks. So far, he is 2-0-0 with a 1.50 GAA and .936 SV% at the Wells Fargo Center and made 21 saves in a 3-2 overtime win in Anaheim on October 7th.
Quick gave up four goals on 36 shots in the Kings’ win in Columbus on Saturday. Quick has had a great start to the season, winning five of six starts while posting a 1.99 GAA, .938 SV%. and one shutout. The Kings are providing him with a lot of goal support and they will need to continue that tonight vs. a Leafs team who leads the NHL in goals.
Lundqvist allowed two goals on 25 shots in the Rangers win over the Predators on Saturday. The win snapped a four-game losing streak for the veteran backstop. Lundqvist has gone 2-2-2 with a 2.48 GAA and .915 SV% at Madison Square Garden so far this season. Tonight he takes on a Sharks team who currently rank 23rd in the NHL in scoring (2.71 GF/PG).
Sceviour suffered and upper-body injury in the Panthers’ win in Washington on Saturday, lasting just 3:40 TOI. Sceviour was held off of the ice this morning and is expected to be replaced by Connor Brickley tomorrow.
McCann was forced to leave Saturday’s game in Washington with a lower-body injury and likely will not play on Tuesday. McCann has had a really nice start to 2017-18, posting a two goals and three assists (five points) in seven games. If McCann can’t play, look for Denis Malgin to draw in as the third line centre.
Andersen allowed five goals on 34 shots in the Maple Leafs’ 6-3 loss in Ottawa on Saturday. Andersen has won five of his seven games despite posting a 3.41 GAA and .892 SV% thanks to the Maple Leafs absurd 4.63 goals for per game. Tonight he faces a Kings team that has yet to lose in regulation and currently rank third in goal-scoring.
Mironov did not have a point in his lone game with the Avalanche this season, but had one goal and one assist in three games with San Antonio (AHL). His recall likely has something to do with Patrik Nemeth’s injury, but Mironov is not expected to play on Tuesday.
