Tonight he will face a high-powered Capitals team who he was 1-0-1 while allowing eight goals on 64 shots (.875 SV%) against last season.
Weber suffered an upper-body injury vs. the Stars last Thursday and missed Saturday’s game in Chicago as a result. Anthony Bitetto will remain in the lineup on Tuesday as long as Roman Josi isn’t ready to return to the lineup. Frederick Gaudreau has been recalled to take his spot on the roster.
The 24-year-old forward had a nice postseason for the Predators last season, picking up three goals in eight playoff games. Gaudreau has also had a nice start to his AHL season, registering four points (1G / 3A) in three games with the Admirals. Neuvirth allowed two goals on 27 shots in the Flyers’ loss in Los Angeles on October 5th. Brian Elliott has started four of the Flyers’ first five games, but Neuvirth will go tonight vs. the Panthers. Florida currently leads the NHL in shots on goal per game (42) and are averaging a ridiculous 4.00 goals per game.
Holtby allowed two goals on 23 shots in the Capitals’ win in New Jersey on Friday. Philipp Grubauer gave him a breather on Saturday, so they’ll come back to Holtby tonight in a big matchup with the Maple Leafs. Holtby has started the season 3-1-0 with a 2.47 GAA and .923 SV%, but struggled against the Maple Leafs last season—allowed seven goals on 45 shots (.844 SV%).
Howard allowed two goals on 35 shots in the Red Wings’ win in Arizona last Thursday. Despite a red-hot start, Petr Mrazek started two of three games last week, so Howard is expected to get the call tonight vs. Tampa Bay. Howard is 3-0-0 and ranks second in the NHL in SV% (.955) and fifth in GAA (1.62) so far.
Point missed the Lightning’s morning skate because of an illness, but he is on the ice for warmups and is expected to be in the lineup tonight. Point is off to a great start to the season, having recorded three goals and five assists (eight points) in five contests.
Raanta will miss his second straight game with a lower-body injury, leaving either Louis Domingue or Adin Hill to start against the Dallas Stars. There’s no official word on how long Raanta is expected to be sidelined so monitor his status when the Coyotes return home after their brief one-game road-trip.

Price opened the season with a victory, but has now lost four consecutive starts while allowing a combined 13 goals on 86 shots (.849 SV%). Tonight he faces a Sharks team that is off to a slow start—the come in tied for 27th in the NHL in goals for (2.00 GF/PG).
Bobrovsky allowed four goals on 21 shots in the Blue Jackets’ 5-4 overtime win in Minnesota on Saturday. Bobrovsky has won his first four starts of the season while posting a 1.47 GAA and .952 SV%. Goalie Bob has been sensational to kick off the season but tonight he faces a Jets team he has historically struggled against.
van Riemsdyk has missed the last two games with a concussion, but he will join the team on their current road-trip. Although he will meet the team in Edmonton, there is no word whether or not he will play tomorrow.
Nutivaara, 23, had seven points (2G / 5A) in 66 games with Columbus last season. He started this year in the AHL, failing to record a point in three games with Cleveland. He has been brought up with Gabriel Carlsson going down with an injury and could make his season debut on Tuesday.
Carlsson missed Saturday’s game in Minnesota with an undisclosed injury and was moved to IR on Monday morning. His movement to IR opens up a roster spot for the Blue Jackets to recall Markus Nutivaara ahead of Tuesday’s game in Winnipeg.
Sutter is feeling a little under the weather and missed today’s practice, turning his lineup spot over the Michael Chaput. Sutter has not officially been ruled out of the lineup, so check his status on Tuesday morning.
Nemeth has recorded three assists and a plus-seven rating in six games since joining the Avalanche. Nemeth, who left Saturday’s game, will be sidelined for at least one game and likely means that Anton Lindholm will get back into the lineup.
Draisaitl missed Saturday’s game vs. Ottawa and has already been ruled out for Tuesday’s contest. Draisaitl’s move to IR is likely retroactive to October 11th, when he first missed practice. The move shouldn’t have any affect on when he returns to the lineup.
