Maatta played just 7:38 before leaving last night’s game with a hand injury. The Penguins quickly announced that he underwent surgery and will likely miss the remainder of the regular season. Expect the Penguins to place him on LTIR to create a roster spot and earn some cap relief ahead of the 2017 trade deadline.
Bobrovsky allowed three goals on 23 shots in the Blue Jackets’ loss to the Rangers on Monday. Bobrovsky has been on the losing end in six of his last eight starts while posting a 3.21 GAA and .890 SV%. Talbot allowed two goals on 25 shots in the Oilers’ win over the Coyotes on Tuesday. Talbot has lost four of his last six starts while posting a 2.68 GAA, .897 SV% and one shutout. Talbot has gone 14-10-2 with a 2.52 GAA and .914 SV% in 26 starts on home ice this season and will face a Flyers team that is struggling to score.
Enstrom will miss his second straight game on Thursday and is likely to miss at least four more games according to his timetable. Luckily for the Jets, they have their bye week next week, so he won’t miss any games over that six-day stretch.
Neil played just 4:52 TOI on Tuesday and registered three hits. The veteran winger will be replaced by Curtis Lazar in New Jersey.
Lazar has been a healthy scratch for four consecutive games, but will get back into the lineup tonight in New Jersey. Lazar will replace Chris Neil and comes in with just one assist in 29 games.
Methot will come out of the lineup tonight in New Jersey because of an illness. The veteran defenseman will be replaced in the lineup by Chris Wideman, who returns from a lower-body injury and Frederik Claesson will skate with Erik Karlsson.
Wideman did not play on Tuesday because of a minor lower-body injury, but he will replace Marc Methot, who is dealing with an illness, in the lineup tonight. Wideman has three gaols and 10 assists (13 points) in 48 games this season.

In his first start against the Devils, Condon stopped 29 of 30 shots in a 3-1 win. Condon has gone 8-6-0 with a 2.83 GAA and .903 SV% on the road.
Hellebuyck allowed two goals on 36 shots in the Jets’ win over the Stars on Tuesday. The win snapped a four-game losing streak for the Jets and earned him another outing tonight in Pittsburgh. Hellebuyck has not faced the Penguins this season, but has gone 7-8-0 with a 3.20 GAA and .896 SV% on the road, so you might want to avoid him tonight.
