The Capitals have recalled Paul Carey from Hershey (AHL).

On Sunday, Liam O’Brien was recalled to replace T.J. Oshie on Monday and now Carey has been called up because Tom Wilson is questionable to play vs. Montreal. Carey has picked up 10 goals and 15 assists (25 points) in 28 games with Hershey this season.

The Capitals have recalled Liam O’Brien from Hershey (AHL).

O’Brien, 22, appeared in 13 games with the Capitals last season, but he is set to make his season debut on Monday. O’Brien has five goals and 13 assists (18 points) in 28 games with Hershey this season and comes to the Capitals with one goal and one assist in his NHL career. T.J. Oshie is doubtful to play tonight, which is why O’Brien was recalled.

Liam O'Brien
Dubnyk will start Sunday in Anaheim.

Dubnyk allowed four goals on 34 shots in the Wild’s win in San Jose on Thursday. Thanks to the Wild’s offence, Dubnyk has gone 2-1-0 in his last three games despite allowing four goals in each contest. Tonight he will start the second game of a back-to-back in Anaheim—he is 9-3-3 with a 1.91 GAA and .943 SV% on the road this season.

Devan Dubnyk
Mason leads the Flyers onto the ice for warmups.

Mason allowed four goals on 27 shots in the Flyers’ loss to the Rangers on Wednesday. Michal Neuvirth started last night, so Mason will go tonight vs. his former team in Columbus. Mason has lost five consecutive games while allowing a combined 15 goals on 96 shots (.844 SV%). He is a risky start against a very good Blue Jackets team.

Steve Mason
Bobrovsky will start Sunday vs. the Flyers.

Bobrovsky allowed five goals on 23 shots in the Blue Jackets’ loss in Washington on Thursday. The loss snapped a personal 14-game winning streak for Bob, who leads the NHL in wins (25), tied for fourth in SV% (.930) and tied for fifth in GAA (2.03). Tonight he will face his former team for the seventh time in his career—he has gone 5-1-0 in the first six meetings.

Sergei Bobrovsky
Vasilevskiy will start Sunday in Pittsburgh.

Vasilevskiy gave up four goals on 44 shots in the Lightning’s loss in Philadelphia last night. With Bishop out, the Lightning really have no point but to stick with Vasilevskiy, who has lost three straight, while allowing an insane 14 goals on 82 shots (.853 SV%). In his first start vs. the Penguins, the 22-year-old allowed four goals on 37 shots in a 4-3 loss.

Andrei Vasilevskiy
McIntyre leads the Bruins onto the ice for warmups.

Tonight McIntyre will make his third career NHL start. In his first two he allowed a combined eight goals on 54 shots (.852 SV%). Despite his struggles at the NHL level, McIntyre has gone 10-0-0 with a 1.41 GAA and .951 SV% with Providence (AHL). He could make for a decent spot-start if you’re desperate.

Zane McIntyre
Fleury will start Sunday vs. Tampa Bay.

Fleury allowed three goals on 40 shots in the Penguins’ win over the Canadiens on New Year’s Eve. After a bye week, Fleury comes back well rested and will take on a banged up Lightning team. The Penguins have won four straight games and Fleury has posted a 1.79 GAA and .943 SV% over that stretch.

Marc-Andre Fleury
Holtby will start Monday in Washington.

Holtby stopped all 30 shots that he faced in the Capitals’ shutout win in Ottawa on Saturday. Holtby has now stopped the last 59 shots that he has faced to post back-to-back shutouts. Holtby is 3-0-0 with a 1.20 GAA, .956 SV% and two shutouts to start January. Tonight he faces the Canadiens for the second time this season—he stopped 23 of 25 shots in a 2-1 loss in mid-December.

Braden Holtby
Gibson will start Sunday vs. the Wild.

Gibson allowed two goals on 23 shots in the Ducks’ win over the Coyotes on Friday. Gibson has won three consecutive games while posting a 1.62 GAA, .950 SV%. and one shutout. He’ll be in tough tonight against a Wild team that is 24-9-5—Gibson is 10-4-1 with a 2.36 GAA and .921 SV% on home ice.

John Gibson
Gustavsson will start Sunday in Ottawa.

Gustavsson allowed six goals on 31 shots in the Oilers loss in Philadelphia back on December 8th. Cam Talbot has been a workhorse for the Oilers, but Gustavsson will give him the night off tonight in Ottawa. Gustavsson has gone 1-2-1 with a 2.90 GAA and .893 SV% this season.

Jonas Gustavsson
Ryan (undisclosed) will return to the Senators lineup on Sunday.

Ryan missed yesterday’s game with an undisclosed injury, but will play tonight vs. the Oilers. Ryan hasn’t had the best season to date, collecting just 14 points (7G / 7A) in 32 games thus far. Expect him to be back on the top line with Kyle Turris and Ryan Dzingel.

Bobby Ryan
Condon will start again on Sunday.

Condon allowed one goal on 20 shots in the Senators’ loss to the Capitals last night. Condon has lost four straight starts while allowing four, three, two and one goal and posting a .901 SV%. He’ll try to get back on the winning path tonight vs. the Oilers—Condon is 4-2-3 with a 1.86 GAA and .933 SV% on home ice.
