Varlamov allowed seven goals on 21 shots in Colorado’s blowout loss in Vegas last Friday. Varlamov had nearly one full week off prior to tonight’s start vs. the Hurricanes. After a nice start to the season, Varlamov has lost three of his last four starts while allowing a combined 16 goals on 127 shots (.874 SV%).

Bishop stopped 38 of 39 shots in the Stars’ win in Vancouver on Monday. After a couple of rough starts, Bishop bounced-back in a big way and finished October with six wins, a 2.51 GAA and .920 SV%. Tonight he faces a Jets team averaging 3.00 goals for per game and Bishop enters play at 2-2-0 with a 3.61 GAA and .895 SV% on the road.

Andersen gave up two goals on 38 shots in the Maple Leafs loss in San Jose on Monday. It was a better performance from Andersen, who has lost four of his last five starts while allowing a combined 19 goals on 178 shots (.893 SV%). Andersen is facing an average of 33.3 shots per game and will continue to give up a lot of goals if that remains the case.

Lowry will miss his eighth consecutive game with an upper-body injury that he suffered back on October 12th. He will miss Thursday’s game but could be back for Saturday’s contest vs. the Canadiens.

Krejci will miss his fifth consecutive game with a back injury, but could return to the lineup come Saturday. With David Backes also out, the Bruins turn to a very inexperienced lineup on Thursday.

Dickinson, 22, has registered six goals and one assist (seven points) in nine games with Texas so far this season. The 6-foot-2, 205 lbs. forward has three goals in 11 career NHL games.

Bieksa will miss his fourth consecutive game with a hand injury, but head coach Randy Carlyle did not rule out a possible return for him on Sunday. With Bieksa still out, Jaycob Megna will remain in the Ducks’ lineup.

Hellebuyck stopped 28 of 29 shots in the Jets’ win in Minnesota on Tuesday. Hellebuyck has been one of the best goalies in the NHL to start the 2017-18 season, ranking fourth in the NHL in GAA (1.91), fifth in SV% (.940) and tied for seventh in wins (6) through the first month of the year. Tonight he faces a Stars team averaging 2.83 goals for per game.

Markstrom allowed two goals on 29 shots in the Canucks overtime loss to the Stars on Monday. It was a tough luck loss for Markstrom who has now allowed just seven goals on the last 90 shots that he has faced (.922 SV%). Tonight he faces a Devils team that is third in the NHL in scoring so far (3.80 GF/PG).

Boeser missed Monday’s game with a foot contusion, but it looks like he could return tonight vs. the Devils. The rookie winger has had a good start to the season, posting two goals and seven assists (nine points) in his first eight games of the season. Look for him to replace Jayson Megna in the lineup if he plays.

Boyle was diagnosed with chronic myeloid leukaemia in September and it looks like he is ready to make his Devils and season debut tonight in Vancouver. Boyle is expected to centre the Devils’ fourth line with Miles Wood and Blake Coleman on his wings.

Gibson allowed one goal on 32 shots in the Ducks’ win in Tampa Bay on Saturday. Ryan Miller got the nod on Sunday, so they’ll come back to Gibson tonight vs. the Maple Leafs. Tonight he will face the second highest scoring team in the league (3.92 GF/PG)—Gibson comes in at 3-2-1 with a 2.53 GAA and .931 SV% on home ice this season.

Trotman played in the last three games, failing to record a point while averring 12:47 TOI/GM, but will be replaced by Frank Corrado tonight—he was a minus-3 in the Penguins loss in Winnipeg on Sunday.

Corrado is expected to make his season debut on Wednesday, replacing Zach Trotman on the blueline. The 24-year-old had one goal and one assist in six AHL games before being called up.

Archibald is expected to make his season debut, replacing Carl Hagelin in the lineup and playing on the fourth line. The 25-year-old registered three goals in 10 games with the Penguins last season.

Hagelin has recorded just two points (1G / 1A) in 13 games this season. With Hagelin taking a seat, the Penguins lines are totally shuffled and Josh Archibald will draw into the lineup.

Murray was yanked after allowing four goals on nine shots in the Penguins’ blowout loss in Winnipeg on Sunday. October was a mixed bag of results for Murray, who finished the month with a 3.05 GAA and .903 SV% in 11 games. He started vs. the Oilers last Tuesday and stopped 29 of 30 shots in the 2-1 OT win.

Howard allowed three goals on 33 shots in the Red Wings’ win over the Coyotes on Tuesday. Howard has been leaned on heavily early-on and will start his sixth straight game tonight in Ottawa. The veteran enjoyed a nice month of October, going 5-4-0 with a 2.57 GAA and .927 SV% in 10 starts—he already has one win in Ottawa this season.

Anderson was pulled after surrendering six goals on 15 shots in the Senators’ blowout loss to Montreal on Monday. Anderson has had a really tough go as of late, allowing a combined 21 goals on 156 shots (.865 SV%) in his last five starts. Despite the poor play, he is a decent option tonight against a sub-par Red Wings team.
